No one in modern culture refers to the term "friend" as whatever definition you found. It's generally implied by the general public that it's referring to the slang term.

Honestly, why you would see the term used in a condescending manner of fashion and wonder why it's not the slang term is beyond me.

Also, the term friend isn't necessarily a bundle of twigs, it can also be a bundle of chopped meat, iron bars, herbs or pretty much a bundle of anything.

The joke was that most people think that friend means gay, as it does in slang. The word is overused, especially here, and I thought it would be nice if it meant something that it was supposed to mean.

So, I'm cruising servers late at night and I happen across carl's server. It's a hotel, nothing wrong with that, but as I try and explore it, two punks pull me aside and beat the stuff out of me with hammers (rules #1 of the hotel being no guns [I know those technically aren't guns.]), so I get a bit pissed and go up to teach them a lesson. It turns out they were protecting "their room". I decide to fight overreaction with overreaction and plant a mine that will cause a player entering the room or exiting the room to explode and lose MOST of their health. It turns out something f'd up with the pysics and before I get a chance to destroy it I am swiftly banned for
I did nothing of the sort of "hack", apparently he does not know what an event is.
