Mr. Sargeant, who was married and had two children, was found dead at his home in Connah's Quay, Flintshire, on Tuesday morning.

He was sacked from his Welsh Government job after allegations about his behavior were passed to First Minister Carwyn Jones' office.

Mr. Jones had said on Monday he felt he had no choice but to refer the matter to the party. Mr. Sargeant had vowed to clear his name.

The Welsh Assembly's business for Tuesday was canceled as a mark of respect following his death, and meetings on Wednesday and Thursday will also not take place.

I'm glad this is where we've gotten in the #MeToo campaign, can't wait for Adam Sandler to actually jump off a cliff too

RULES

• 10 predictions TOTAL, ALL PREDICTIONS ARE FINAL
• anyone who's not an American/Western European celebrity, politician, or person in power will be ignored, as will joke predictions (forum users, fictional characters, etc.)
• the prediction must not have been previously accused of rape, loveual assault, gross loveual misconduct or child enthusiasm
• posthumous predictions are allowed, no extra points will be rewarded though so make your own judgments

Off Topic / is it a good idea to take two college-level math courses at the same time

Right now, I'm scheduling courses for next semester, and since I'm switching from mechanical engineering to electrical engineering, I have a pretty open schedule next year. I was hoping to fill that with requirements for my music composition major, but there seems to be only one course open that I can take, so I've been considering taking the remaining two math courses required by my new major at the same time. For the curious, I'm going to probably talk with the teacher of one of the courses tomorrow. If I don't take the two math courses at the same time, then I'll be underloading credit for next semester, which is not a good idea in a double major.

The two courses are Differential Equations (course description: "Basic methods of solving ordinary differential equations. Systems of linear differential equations, Laplace transform, applications and selected topics.") and Linear Algebra (course description: "Linear equations, matrices, vector spaces, linear transformations, determinants, eigenvalues."). Typically, math courses here have the heaviest load out of any other course, but the other courses I'm taking next semester (minus one maybe) I'm guaranteed are going to be a cakewalk.

I'm going to ask teachers about it, but I wanted to get the opinions of people who might've actually taken courses like this and know what to expect. I don't know if I'm holding the BLF to a standard too high in thinking this, but it can't hurt to ask.

At least 27 people have died after a gunman opened fire at a church in Texas during Sunday services, police say.

The attack happened at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in Wilson County.

Police official Albert Gamez Jr confirmed the number of fatalities to CBS News.

The gunman, who is reported to have been killed in the aftermath, entered the church and opened fire at around 11:30 local time (17:30 GMT).

"The details are kind of sketchy but what I know right now, what they're telling me, like 27 deceased and over 20, 25 injured," Mr Gomez Jr said.

"They're talking about the shooter is dead also," he added.

One witness, Carrie Matula, told NBC News: "We heard semi-automatic gunfire… we're only about 50 yards away from this church."

"This is a very small community, so everyone was very curious as to what was going on."

The San Antonio FBI branch said its agents had been deployed, and there was no indication of the gunman's motive.

The FBI also said that while only one shooter was reported, it was looking into other possibilities.

Madagascar’s plague outbreak has killed more than 100 people and sparked fears among officials both on the island and abroad that the deadly disease could spread.

Now officials have identified a centuries-old tradition in Madagascar that could heighten the risk of the outbreak spreading: dancing with the dead.

The local name for the practice is famadihana, but it is also known as “the turning of the bones” or “body turning.” It involves families exhuming the bones of their deceased relatives, rewrapping them with fresh cloth, and dancing with the wrapped corpses before returning the remains to their graves.

Bodies can be “turned” more than once, but families can only exhume and rewrap their deceased every five, seven or nine years. But while the tradition is held as sacred among many in Madagascar, health officials are warning that it could aid the spread of the plague.

“If a person dies of pneumonic plague and is then interred in a tomb that is subsequently opened for a famadihana, the bacteria can still be transmitted and contaminate whoever handles the body,” Willy Randriamarotia, the chief of staff in Madagascar’s health ministry, told AFP.

Plague, an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Yersinia pestis, is endemic to Madagascar.

Cases of the bubonic plague—which is spread through the bite of an infected flea and was known in medieval Europe as the Black Death—are reported every year in the epidemic season, which usually runs from September to April.

Democratic candidate for Virginia governor Ralph Northam is not distancing himself from the controversial ad suggesting supporters of Republican candidate Ed Gillespie are seen as Confederates who attack minority children.

The new opposition ad titled “American Nightmare” was released Monday by Democratic group Latino Victory Fund (LVF) and is scheduled to run through Election Day. The opposition ad shows minority children seemingly being chased by a driver in a pickup truck, decked out with a Confederate flag, a “Gillespie for governor” bumper sticker and a “Don’t tread on me” license plate.

The driver makes his way toward the scared children who shout, “Run! Run! Run!” when they see the truck. The ad concludes with a scene of a Charlottesville-like rally, with a  narrator asking: “Is this what Donald Annoying Orange and Ed Gillespie mean by the ‘American Dream?’”
