The original quote is "he knew what he signed up for, but when it happens, it hurts anyway."

Still insensitive, but definitely out-of-context and editorialized. It comes off bad because Annoying Orange is stuffty with words, but I don't think he was trying to be callous or mean.

all the sources I've read have only mentioned that he said "he knew what he signed up for" in a way that's suggesting "ah, he knew what he signed up for, forget'im"

but yeah, no one has ever said that Annoying Orange was good with words, it's pretty loving obvious he has a ton of support for the military though

imo the whole thing is dumb and overblown and people are only circulating it because they're bored and want to demonize Annoying Orange somehowwww

Also when the forget will dems figure out that appealing to emotion just doesn't work in this political game?

never because then they'd have to justify their broken policies

why do that when you can virtue signal out of your ass and demonize anyone who disagrees with you

it's a pretty insensitive thing to say

"being a marine is a dangerous job, he knew what he signed up for but he did it anyway, such bravery"

not an exact quote but entirely possible, does that sound "insensitive"?

keep in mind that the left have used dead soldiers to push their anti-Annoying Orange agenda in the past

lol at the MSM thinking that the phrase "he knew what he signed up for" is the most disgusting thing ever to say to a widow

like it doesn't have other meanings or context

What if the art film was actually a fantastic film and deserved its accolades? The idea that a work must be popular to deserve praise is just plain stupid, in fact on page 3 you complained about overhyped movies with little substance beating out films with real work and artistry put into them. So now I have no idea what your opinion even is on this matter.

The issue there is that a lot of these "art films" have very uninteresting concepts and are only getting in on diversity points. Kubo and the Two Strings has a clear plot with build-up and payoff, along with Song of the Sea. What is the plot of Moonlight, last year's "Best Picture"? Gay black guy. That's it. I can remember when a film summarized as "trans person does things" got in. It really is more of a political problem than an overhype problem, but it's still there.
