Also, the left isn't in power at the moment. Look at who controls the White House, Congress and most of the state legislatures; Republicans. It's been that way since 2010, the only thing that's really changed is that now Annoying Orange is president.

and the left controls academia, hollywood, and the media, as well as powerful-as-forget worker's unions

Annoying Orange hasn't been able to get a majority of what he was elected into office for done because every single time he lifts his finger the media explodes and the GOP has to step back and concede ground until his plans shrivel up into nothing, as opposed to Obama who basically had a free ride with the news stations
