"I'm Jeffrey McPhail, pleasure to meet you.  Also, I doubt a bag of Cheez-its will get you very far.  Have an apple," I say tossing him one. 

"Thanks," I say as I put the apple in my satchel.

"I'm Alexander Aroth, in case you wanted to know. Now hold still, this'll hurt. A lot," I said, as I began treating Sam's burn.

The process is long and painful, but when it is over I say "Thanks. I'm going to try to get some rest now." I pull the covers over me and rest my head on the pillow as I begin to nap.

I just said you're in pain, bro.  I don't care though, because I have a broken ankle and at least 8 broken ribs, plus my sternum is in bad shape.  Also I'm the heartless one here. 
"You'll get over it kid, I have literally 10 broken bones right now.  If you need me, I'll be getting some iodine or something," I say as I cough up yet more blood, but a very little amount this time. 

I nod and stay quiet.

'These new strangers arn't nearly as nice as Alix or Ryan' I think to myself.
