Wow, Irrlicht seems soo easy to get started with, but is very powerful. Also, I found that you can use physics, but not only everyday physics, my favorite, Newton.

Thank's for your help!

PS: I am confuzzled. Do I use seprate .cpp files for every part of my program  (eg main.cpp, controls.cpp, map.cpp)
or is it in one big main.cpp file?

I'm not really sure, but I think the controls, if anything can be scripted. I would check out some tutorials though.

Oh and off topic, I saw a video that showed ragdoll physics in an actual game someone made with Irrlicht.

I kinda wish I got the XM8 instead of the M16.

Anyone else try it? It's a small download and if you are looking at this you probably have nothing better to do anyway.

I think the problem is when you have a pixelated game with a (constant) low frame rate, you have to shift your eyes a lot just to focus on one area.

if you look at the below text from left to right, while focusing on each one before going to the next bar, you will get what I am talking about;

i like the skill system and the classes are fun to use.
but the world is soooooo small...i pretty much got my fill of everything in a month of playing, and got bored fast

It's not bad, but not that good either.

There is no above perfect, can you read on a molecular scale?

This is an mmorpg that is client-based, but it is a VERY lightweight file (around 15-25mb). This may make you think that it is bad, but it is worth looking at still. Movement is best with the arrow keys, you attack with control, and the mouse is mostly for doing things like picking up items or going through menus, but you can use it to walk too.

Kind of reminds me of Maplestory.

It's isometric, by the way, but it isn't grainy. (:D)

Actually you can. I saw a (real, it was in a doctor's office) vision chart that had smaller letters where you had to stand further as well, and it didn't say 20/20. I was able to read the whole line.

I'd like to try something different then Torque. Something with support for rigid physics, such as Newton. I was hoping to piece together a mini-engine from OGRE, Newton, and maybe something like OpenAL.

If that fails, I'd like to try D3D.
You could use havok to code your games

Havok is a physics engine. You add it to game engines that can support it to have its physics.
