My guess is that he started his own game dev thing that will fail in a couple weeks when he gets bored of it, and realizes he's not as good as he thinks he is.

EDIT:
My reasoning for this is that an established video game development firm will generally not hire someone who does not possess a degree in something like CompSci (which clearly a 17 year old doesn't have) and also has not shipped any previous products (unsure what lame tasks you were doing in your previous "company").

The CDC is one of the most secure sites in the world, there is no way they would let the Ebola spread unintentionally.

A blood clot is when blood cannot circulate properly through a certain part of the body (e.g. your arms, legs) because of coagulation/embolism. The danger of flying is 1) you are sitting for an extended period of time allowing blood to pool 2) you are going through a pressure change which alters your internals. When blood clots in places like your spinal cord, brain, or heart and then are released either naturally (which causes a large flow of blood) or by aneurysm which explodes the vessels (causing massive hemorrhaging) you are basically toast. If you can extract the blood clot via surgery, or attempt to free it in a safer location in the body like the legs the chances of survival increase.
