Turns out the reason for me only getting to floor 2-3 is because I had the game on hard without noticing.

I am a dumb,dumb boy.
Also unlocked lazarus :D

But the game is more fun when it's on hard~

The RNG gods have smiled upon me today.



I finally loving killed the lamb with the lost.

Now all that is left is to actually play the game with most of the other characters.

This has probably already been answered but is there a point to playing in hardmode? I've been pulling my hair out over the past two days losing very badly. I can't seem to play a successful run on hard with a few characters either. Any advice/suggestions/does hardmode matter at all except for babies and loss of hair?

Bragging rights.

Plus it's more fun to play on Hard

The only way i can see soy milk being any good in a run is if it's the first item you pick up.

I bought the first Dark Souls, and I've started to get my ass whipped by ghosts with scythes.
I need tips for the game in general please

I don't think you need to go down there just yet, run over to Undead Burg first.

If you want to stay down in New Londo Ruins, you might want to pick up/use one Transient Curse to be able to damage the ghosts.
