It's a bit of psychology, just because you are you here, you can be a different person and yet you at another instance.
This is because of peoples' opinions, rather than your own.
For example, I could be precieved as a popular person in school, and yet, if I go somewhere else nobody will know me and thus judge me differently.
The fact that other people judge me will change how people act towards me and also who I am considered to be.

Sort-of-an-edit: I'm not sure if I should've lol'd at that. But I did anyways.

Unfortunately, I have found that bullies/ego-maniacal poptards don't have much affect on me.
Plus, I find standing up for myself/putting myself down is fun, which is why I am not just letting this go.

The CONSEQUENCES of saying anything, however, is generally less than pleasing.
Don't make sweeping statements like that, achieves little.

The Bill of Rights doesn't apply here.

Good thing I'm not American.
People can, and do write anything they like in Drama.
I don't see why you find the need to stamp it "totalitarian" because people react poorly to trolls.

As for Badspot, he is bound by the people and what they'll take before they decide that his action prevent them from enjoying themselves.
This gives him a great deal of leeway.
