ancient screenshots, latter two aren't even DOF but they are more impressive somehow
to this day i have no idea how this happened
iPhone 8.
This conversation is over. Im not sure why you want to question a personal experience.
If it worked most the time, Id enjoy it more. Apparently working with your hands is a against the rules.
Tonight, I was able to contact Apple. After examining the logs of the demo iPhone X, they now know exactly what went down. Turns out my first theory in this story was wrong--but my first UPDATE theory above was correct: "People were handling the device for stage demo ahead of time," says a rep, "and didn't realize Face ID was trying to authenticate their face. After failing a number of times, because they weren't Craig, the iPhone did what it was designed to do, which was to require his passcode." In other words, "Face ID worked as it was designed to."https://www.macrumors.com/2017/09/14/apple-face-id-didnt-fail-keynote/
Cool, but the last time I tired it, it forgeted up a good 80% of the time because of it.
I had gone to an apple store to get my 6 looked at after the home button got stuck, and the sales person kept trying to push the 8 on me saying that the facial recognition would be the next big thing. I asked for a demo and they tried to map my face. It didn't work out and I'm still skeptical.
"It does not work for me."
"Yeah it does."
What the forget mate.
you have to align your face right then you have to swipe up, as opposed to just placing your finger on a button and being good to go
and as you saw in the demo it's not as reliable
Face ID doesn't work with my beard. Cool.Yes it does. Where do you pull that from?
The only reason touch ID caught on is because it's fast. Face ID is not nearly as fast, it's not nearly as reliable, people are straight up going to go back to PINs.
no headphone jack? no interest

bio-metrics arnt constitutionally protected. fingerprints, iris, face rec, voice rec.
LE can force you to open things using these without a warrant. just use a 4dig pin.
