Hammer, even if it may only help a little; I suggest hosting images through imgur or cubeupload to put less strain on your network when under load or attack.
much strain
so dial-up

i've cut two letters off my domain name too into nrrd.eu/bladdons if you want to add that as another domain, cos if one DNS server goes down then the other one is still up

just a thought of mind

sorry for the bump

$272 a month for just 100 GB seems ridiculously expensive. Why do they even give you 80/80? In under 3 hours you can use up all of your bandwidth if you download at full speed.

We do go over the bandwidth by around 400/500GB a month thus us spending more. But my dad must have the reliability he needs in order to run his side of a very big company to upload and download to a custom made SVN server down south.

125
Well in England the network is really congested in comparison to America, thus the internet is more expensive over here. We haven't got enough power to hold everyone who is using the internet around here, the download/upload rate is so unreliable and unstable.

126
No, it's unlimited. Why would a 50 / 25 plan have data usage limits?? Verizon never has limits on FiOS services.
My household pays around £160 a month for a 100gb business tariff with 80/80, I wouldn't know about verizon's packages as I am not living in America.

127
Surely it's going to cost you quite a bit aswell because it's most likely building up your service plan data usage bill? surely you're limited?

i hate looking in the camera, gotta look at the third screen tho

also it's ridiculous to DDOS something that is helping blockland. could you install DDOS protection or something?
There is no actual way to protect yourself against a DDoS attack if the upload speed on the attacking service is bigger than the download on the victim's host.

You could get some firewall that blocks the connection but by that time the internet line will be clustered up with packets trying to go towards the victim host. However, dedicated hosting services like servermania do DDoS protection for like $160 but that would be out of budget for any start-up blockland hosting service, as people wouldn't pay for the monthly subscription as it is too expensive.

This is why RTB went down, it's too expensive and too many people on Blockland hate each other, thus people not hosting a 100% up-time host.

Its always down
Is it Furdle? Is it really always down?

Stop being an arrogant, pretentious prick all the time.

Are you trying to create a hosting service?
No, not got much time to do it if I was to create one.

I think all tumors are cancerous.
I have a tumour next to my pituitary gland which is benign.

(They haven't done a biopsy tho, so they aren't 500% sure)

Out of curiosity, how much resources does one blockland dedi executable take?

135
Well I'm probably shooting blanks here but I think that with that sort of processor, the GPU would be bottlenecked. All laptops I've seen with a GTX 860M usually has top of the line i5 mobile processors or even i7's, like the top spec gigabyte laptops and macbook pros.

i'd say you should take a look on the gigabyte laptop website, they sell some really powerful laptops for great prices!
