Well, some people from my step-dad's work or something gave my little sister a new computer.
My god the thing is ancient, so I hook it up.
Upon starting, I'm introduced to the Windows 95 loading screen.
Yeah yeah yeah, I check out some things, and it only has 16 MB of RAM.
But that's not the question. I've noticed a Turbo button on the tower, and when I press it, the display changes to say 133.
What does this turbo button do?

Off Topic / MP3 Player uses confusion. Success. Chrono is confused.

Well, I was just about to head to bed, listening to some music.
The 6 songs I listened to, worked just fine.
I don't feel tired, I walk around for a bit, and set it back to the first song.
Suddenly, on the 3rd song, which is 4:06 in length, makes a sudden surprise.
At 2:16, guitar noises come out from nowhere, and it's suddenly a different song.
The title was still displaying the title of the original 3rd song.
I plug it into the computer, and listen to the same song, same thing happened, at 2:16, it played a different song.
I had another copy of the song somewhere on my computer, listen to it, it runs perfectly fine.

So, it seems while I was listening to music, even after listening to that song without no errors, the MP3 suddenly stuffed the end of one song into the middle of another.

Yes, yes, I know this is the help section, but I feel this is where it should belong.
Many people often ask others to check if their server is dead, only to find out that it actually is.
With this tool, you can save your own and others' time.
Just leave the game running, and keep trying to forward those ports till you get a message saying:
Ping Diagnostic: A connection is able to be made with your server. Diagnostic shutting down.

Drama / The new restrictions of Blockland - Blame the abusers.

While reading through the forums and changelog, I've noticed some very useful features in that list, being removed.

  • Client and player targets removed from OnRespawn input event
    I could think of many good things this could make, however people making infinite loops with these ruined that.
    Especially now with the whole physics idea in mind.
  • InstantRespawn event removed. There were several methods which could be used to get the player stuck in infinite respawn loops.
    I was actually using InstantRespawn in one of my minigame builds. Once the user completes the level, it used InstantRespawn to place them back at the spawn. Now that's gone due to abuse.
  • SetShapeName on player objects is now obfuscated
    Bots can no longer be given shapenames, and no more [Team 1/2/Solo] for Minigame++, infact, Minigame++ was put into the bad add-ons list because it used such functioning. We can blame the people who abuse shapenames for impersonation.
  • Player list related clientCmd's are now obfuscated to prevent user tampering
    I'm not exactly sure what he changed in this, however I assume we cannot add bots to the player list.
Aside from all those losses, there are many useful bugfixes, along with some neat features and updates. I thank Badspot and kompressor for working hard on this game, and I know what you did was right. It's not your fault, it's the people who abuse such things who take these priviledges away from us.

SetVehicleTransform - V1
A SetVehicleTransform brick output, used for 'teleporting' vehicles.

Description
Works just like SetPlayerTransform, except this is used for vehicles.
Output - Brick - SetVehicleTransform Direction KeepVel - Teleports the vehicle that triggered the event to the target brick. Direction is to determine which way the vehicle will face. If KeepVel is on, the vehicle will keep moving in the direction it was, if off, then it will stop once it teleports.

OnVehicleTouch and a few outputs.

Changelog

-Changed tick to 200.
-Changed MissionVehicles from a SimGroup to a SimSet to ensure this will work with other mods.

Description
Contains 1 input and 8 outputs.

Input - OnVehicleTouch - When a vehicle (not a bot) touches the brick.
Targets - Self, Vehicle, Driver, DrivingClient, Owner, Minigame.

Output - Vehicle - SetVelocity Vector - Sets the vehicle's velocity to the output vector.
Output - Vehicle - AddVelocity Vector - Adds the vector to the vehicle's velocity.
Output - Vehicle - SetVehicleScale Scale - Sets the vehicle's scale to the desired scale.
Output - Vehicle - SpawnExplosion Datablock Scale - An explosion is created from the vehicle.
Output - Vehicle - setHealth Health - Sets the vehicle's health. Entering 0 will kill the vehicle.
Output - Vehicle - addHealth Health - Adds health to the Vehicle. Negative numbers damage, and can kill the vehicle.
Output - Vehicle - kill - Destroys the vehicle.
Output - Vehicle - respawn - Deletes the vehicle and spawns it back at the vehicle spawn.

Off Topic / Notice: Temporary Dissapearance - My ISP sucks.

Just posting to say that if I'm not on tomorrow, I won't be on till I get a new ISP.

The stuffheads are saying we gotta pay like, over $200.

I'll continue to fix up mods and make some new ones I had planned while I'm gone.

See you guys sometime in the short future.

Advanced Music
Play music, save favorites, enjoy.

Description
NOTE: Screenshots will come shortly!

An ingame music player that can play any song in your music folder. It also displays duration and filesize of the songs.
The favorites do not need to be synced unless you want to see the duration and filesize.

To start using this, first head into options, and scroll down about halfway, till you see the Gui division.
Locate Toggle Advanced Music GUI, and set up your desired keybind.
Click done, and open the music player.
You will need to sync the files, click the green sync button.
Note: If you have large music files in your music folder, you may occasionally get a spike of lag while syncing.
Once it is done syncing (the red sync button will turn green), you can start playing music, and adding them to favorites.
Music in your favorites will stay there, even after restarting, so you will not have to sync to find them.

Future update may include setting keybinds to favorites, and maybe some GUI and settings updates.

Add-Ons / Blockland External Server Control V1.1

This program will allow you to change your server settings outside of Blockland.
This is intended for dedicated servers, as RTB can be used to change settings ingame.

Both files in that link are required.
Server_DSC.zip goes into your add-ons folder, do not extract it.
BLExternal.exe can go anywhere, this is the program.

Instructions for use:
Enable Server_DSC in the add-ons list.
Open the program before starting your server.
Start the server (dedicated or ingame), and let the information on the program. It should take about 3 seconds to start, and will finish about 3 seconds after.
Enjoy.

-Changed chat messages to ensure no bugs incase the word Chat was included in any of your server information.
Note: Do not try to use EXT[Chat] or EXT[Connection] anywhere in your settings. (Server name, welcome message, password, etc.)

How to set to automatically open when you open a dedicated server:
First, make sure the add-on, Server_DSC is enabled.
Place the BLExternal.exe program in your blockland folder. (Where Blockland.exe is)
In the blockland folder, right click dedicated.bat and select edit.
You should see this:

For awhile in the add-ons section, people have been going to like, page 10-20, quoting something on the first page of the topic, and going completly off-topic, possibly bitching or asking about the specific quoted off-topic post.

Some quotes of recent bumps:

In: some ambieance sounds, just for the creative side of you :D

I don't see why people copy shapes and sounds into their new add-ons.

It's not that hard to change "./explosionsphere1.dts" to "Add-ons/Weapon_RocketLauncher/explosionsphere1.dts"

Though the default files are generally small in size, we only need 1 of them.

Here's a few things I found:

Weapon_Zeus:
gunShell.dts
bullet.dts
-They are the exact same as gun's shapefiles.

Weapon_Windblast:
Windblast.dts
-Just a renamed wand.dts

Weapon_Thor:
explosionSphere1.dts
-Same as the rocket launcher's sphere.

Weapon_Stungun
bulletHit.wav
-Same as default.

Weapon_Stinger:
explosionSphere1.dts
rocketFire.wav
rocketLoop.wav
tntExplode.wav
-Same as the rocket launcher's files

Weapon_Sports:
All three dodgeballs
-Whoever made it could've made 1 .dts file, then used colorshifts.

-Just a renamed wand.dts

Plenty of copies of already existing weapons' shapefiles and sounds.
