Badspot is off and on. He usually comes on once every week or 2.
He doesn't seem to be dead.
He banned nal yesterday.

Topic was created March 23rd because his last active time was March 20th at the time. He came back online March 25th.

Now you guys are posting in a topic that was done with 6 pages ago acting like this is some kind of new topic. Today is April 3rd if you must know.

It wasn't worth losing terrain for shadows. It just wasn't worth it.
Losing terrain and interiors and getting nothing in return is still worth it.

i understand they run on different engines that's obvious but what i meant was i didn't expect it to take THAT much power considering my GPU is pretty strong
it just feels like it takes a ridiciously amount of power than it should.
Read my post again, because TF2 is likely only calculating shadows for less than a hundred objects while Blockland calculates shadows for over 10k objects on any decent server.

we need baked shadow support for like static gamemodes
other than that the S&S are great
It's a huge feature that applies to only rare occasions of the game.

And I don't just mean brick damage, because you also have to consider events.

Opening doors. Chests. Things going from transparent to non trans and vice versa. Bricks disappearing. The entire fact that bricks also have to ghost as the client approaches them, which also causes bricks to appear.

To get what you want, you'd have to disable any brick that changes datablocks (default doors and chest), a bunch of events and default functions and such, change the brick ghosting network structure, and so on, just to have baked shadows.

I'm not saying they would be bad to have, but it's no petty cost.

Oh yes. I'm being silly.
Thinking about my server, where the only people who ever upload are my friends. They always have Admin, and I forget that's the case.


So to correct myself then, I know that if an Admin uploads a save, and then the host uploads during it, the Admin's is cancelled and the Hosts load goes through.

Can an SA overrule an Admin uploading, as the host can?
And if 2 Admins upload at the same time, it's supposed to stop the second one, isn't it? Which apparantely doesn't happen for Demian?

That was a bit pointless, was it not?

You're right, it's very stupid of me to take photo evidence of a possible server issue. Maybe not something super serious, but a potential problem. After all these detailed photos.. I should have just drawn hand made copies. Instead of photos, just typed out the long chat log. I think the dumbest thing was posting a picture of his BL_ID. Oh god. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Yeah it's called a joke you took seriously. No one would ever get butthurt enough to DDoS Blockland servers.
