Whelp. You gave a woman a chance to make a game and she couldn't have forgeted up any harder.

My vote Greatest Internet Fiasco-Clusterforget 2014
I'm not sure if it counts as a clusterforget because I don't think it was five guys at once. Though I'm sure burgers and fries were involved each and every time.

Wrong section.

On-topic: Can't wait for that forgettable dungeon :D
Too bad I wont be at PAX to see it.

Holy crap, I thought that situation was in the past.
Yeah, so was this topic.

I would make all versions of Blockland available to play and host on, including v8 or like v19.
Whenever you try to join a different version, it would tell you that your version is different and let you know which one it is.

I would make Steam keys available to be changed by making it so when you buy Blockland through Steam, you can convert a cd key into a BL key.
So before you press the "key" button to change it, it would ask you to go to the blockland.us website and use the converter.
This also means you could change your cd key or regular key for your Steam.

I'd add some new staff members, because some of the users on here I've noticed have been very loyal and helpful to the community. Aside from the ones who left.
I would also add new forum features such as different ranks like Modder, making people feel more accomplished rather than being an ordinary user.
Another cool feature would be liking or disliking posts. Though I'd probably ask the community for their input about that one.

Most of these things would subside the community and I hope shut a few people up about updates.
After I added those things, I would begin asking different modders or staff about their input on what should be added next. Not necessarily random users.
Then whatever those are, I would use the best ideas (in my opinion) and try to implement them into the game.
So you'd kill Blockland faster. Alright, don't put this guy in charge.

I'm honestly surprised there wasn't a bigger stuffstorm about it.
Because it's an improvement. One that was mentioned long ago.

It's doable, not fantastic. The one guy that did it in ranked that I saw figured out that he could clear a certain amount before going mega gnar, clear again, then go mega gnar for a gank
Problem being that you're now forcing a timing window. Most other junglers can jump in at any opportunity, while with Gnar, you have to time it properly so that you'll be Mega Gnar. The opportunity for a gank could disappear in that time. Sort of like when people were trying to jungle Braum. His ganks 'can' be good, but only in a situation where jumping on his own team will work, where in most cases you have to jump on the enemy team with any other jungler.

Not random, just not manually designed. Random doesn't actually exist, especially in computers.

Either way, the idea behind the game is to have an entire explorable universe. I hope you weren't expecting them to hand-craft that many planets.

It means they are randomly generated shapes based on a seed. And or that number of planets, the seed is random too. The real work behind this went into the planet generator.

The article you linked even explains it.
Last time I checked, anything we've observed is accurate in the game, and the rest is procedurally generated beyond that. There's a difference between random generation (using entropy such as time or other noise, to calculate what should be what), and procedural generation (a seed, in this case the known universe, and the rest is generated beyond that)

Yes, a lot of the game is being generated. However, due to the nature of the game, everyone is going to see the same results, with only one random factor. Your starting position.

Unless something has drastically changed since I last researched this game.
