Off Topic / What questions do you have about the Moto 360 [VIDEO]?
« on: November 26, 2016, 07:09:51 PM »
My brother Georges, some friends, and I are going to do a review video on this watch soon. We're trying to figure out what people would like to know about it from a user's perspective.

Yes, these can be questions that have been answered in other videos. We just need a list of applicable things to cover. So fire away.

CLARIFICATION: I mean the original Moto 360, not the 2nd generation one. We don't have that one (yet).

UPDATE: There is now a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GrqSw2VHas

check this site out. it's an up-and-coming music platform so if you make music consider uploading your tracks here too (it's like an 80% payout rate or something ridiculously high like that too)

Made an account, follow me if you made one and I'll follow back. ;)

Music theory isn't a necessity, it's a nice tool to have, but ultimately your ear is the most important thing to sharpen. You can be the most technically proficient musician in the world, but no one will want to listen to you if your music is dry loving scales and generic harmonies. Music theory should be a tool to get you through pinch spots in composition, it'll let you understand natural progressions and resolutions as well as ways to expand chords into different kinds of arpeggios or runs or whatever. That is, however, not to say someone with a very trained ear can pick those things out naturally without having the vocabulary to explain what they're doing. Music theory is simply music put into words, and the methodology to putting those words into sentences. One doesn't need to be able to write down their stories to be a great story teller.
This. I haven't had any music theory. However, if you have no idea what you're doing wrong and things never sound "good," it's your best bet for learning.

Games / Re: Overwatch - SOMBRA
« on: November 05, 2016, 03:17:08 PM »
There were plenty of heroes that were obnoxious to fight against at release, and people cried "nerf!" (Mei and Bastion come to mind) until people figured out how to counter them.
Sombra will probably be obnoxious to fight against at the start, but once people figure out how to fight against her, it'll be fine.
She might need a few tweaks like Ana did after release, but Blizzard is a good dev, I doubt they were release a hero that is as broken as some people thing it'll be
Agreed.

Honestly, I'm just excited to play her. I tend to be decent with this character type.

It's only because of the new feature.

Unless if you're fine with only getting into low-level minimum wage jobs and have a hard time having your applications considered, then you seriously should go to college

Having a college degree at all will get you into a metric forget-ton more jobs than a high-school diploma, even if it's a Minor's Degree.
There's also trade school.

Off Topic / Re: is "the earth is flat" a meme or wot
« on: October 13, 2016, 03:28:08 AM »
the earth is flat, don't go too far or you'll fall off. the moon landings are fake and the moon is a hologram.
the earth physically cannot be flat. if it is, then we would all be gravitationally bound to the earth's exact center; the edges would be like mountains.
also the moon would pretty much destroy us too
Not quite, gravitational pull is relative to the location of mass, and why the COG will be the spot things are drawn to most, it's not absolute. This is why, if earth was hollow, anything inside of it would experience no net gravitational forces. ;)

XR-7, where are some good places in the St. Louis area to catch some Pokemon? Unless you do all your catching outside of the St. Louis area...

You get much more controlled results if you make the mesh from scratch, which is what I always do. Maximum control = a better final product. Boolean is good for certain things, but I wouldn't recommend it for a roosterpit. A better approach would be to start with the floor and build up the walls around it, putting the roof on to top it all off (heh). If you're trying to cut a roosterpit out of a solid shape, similar to how an old Native American canoe might have been made, you're either A) in for a very long process in order to get anything usable, or B) going to end up with something clunky and ugly.

Unfortunately some of this clown nonsense is true. I've had several friends on FB report their own eyewitness accounts or accounts from friends in areas somewhat near where I live. So far it's almost only just been creepy and hasn't progressed beyond that, but it would be nice if it just stopped.
