DUDE CALM DOWN!

But really, looks pretty neat. Wasteland looks fun. But why are you using quotation marks like that? It makes I look like you're trying to be sarcastic.

General Discussion / Re: Should Blockland be supported on Linux?
« on: July 18, 2014, 04:19:00 PM »
Ok, I don't normally rant, but...

Look, y'all need to take a chill pill. Just because Linux is open source and sometimes takes a bit more computer savviness to use, some people seem to hate it. I don't no why. But guess what! There's actually people in the world who use it for a reason (like myself; I have an old laptop that ran Vista, but barely, so I replaced it with Linux, which ran much faster on it). There are also people who use it just for fun. But no! Can't have fun! Can't use anything but Windows because that's what everyone else uses! This sort of "logic" is just makes my brain hurt sometimes. I understand the fact that if you buy a computer to play games on, it only makes sense to use Windows as your OS. I've got no issue with that. What I do take offense to, however, is when people disregard the fact that maybe someone is using Linux legitimately and happens to want to play Blockland on the side? Could it be that *gasp* they don't play many games and that in the long run Linux works better for what they spend most of their time doing on their computer? Or maybe they can't or don't want to shell out almost $100 to purchase an OS? People have different values, so please, just respect them. You don't have to agree, but at least learn some respect.

Lol, I totally missed beta testing, I didn't know the server was up that whole time. Oops.

Anyway, looking forward to the completion of this, it sounds epic. This is the sort of thing I was hoping for when I made the snowboard. Also, Furdle, the "ollie" or bunny hop feature you requested is almost done, should be completed tonight.

It is a physics vehicle: http://lugnut.co.vu/add_ons/Vehicle_Basic_Skateboard.zip
Neat. I have two ideas I want to try to avoid wheels turning, we'll see how it goes.

By not parenting the last argument, you are breaking some features that use Armor::onTrigger. You should also use the last argument, or else all this will be called when they push space, and again when it's released.
Ok, will do.
This, never "leave arguments out"
Many languages will recognize doing so as a completely different function
Noted, thanks!

I can guarantee you it won't be as good as you think it is.
Seriously, take your hopes and expectations of it and divide by 5.
This is usually true, but I've heard Splashtop is actually pretty decent. Do they not have some sort of trial you can try first, OP?

I think it'd look less dumb if you made the topmost and bottom-most lip lines less prominent. Only black people have dem abrupt lips.

The proper way is == for numerical values and $= for strings and stuff.
Oops, forgot about that, my bad.
For the first problem, refer to Xalo's post. For the second problem, it may be a different class that's calling ::onTrigger when you're in a vehicle. Like WheeledVehicleData or something. Try using trace(1); when you push the space bar in the vehicle.
I don't understand what you mean for the first one; I already knew all that, I just didn't think I needed the last argument, so I left it out. Are you suggesting I use the last arg in some way, or is it simply that parenting that argument will fix it?
