i'm new to 3d modeling but after messing around for a couple of hours I started work on a 1987 BMW E36 for Blockland. This is all i have so far. I'm happy :3

Not discouraging you from making this, by I figure I should let you know I already made and released an almost identical BMW (not that exact model, but very similar).

Keep it up though if that doesn't bother you, I'd love to see it finished! :)

That's true, but I'd rather go through trial and error than choose one that doesn't satisfy me. I've used inanimate objects to focus on, then I'll just remove the object and place my face where they were. Seems to work. That's how I get my water drips in focus. I'll place a ruler across the bowl of water, focus on it, remove it, and drop some water as I release the shutter

Also, unrelated:

Yeah, that's a useful focusing method, I do that myself sometimes. I guess the whole "eyes focused or not" comes back to the selfie vs self portrait discussion. :P

Nice symmetry in that first one, Bones. I need to get out and shoot like you do, I pretty much shoot stuff in or around my property. :/

This installs screenfetch. Screenfetch, when you use it as a command, displays info about your system. It is primarily used for screenshots, and it should list your graphics card.

Every source I've seen has called Linux UNIX-based. You say it was written from scratch, but everyone calls Linux UNIX-based because it operates in an identical or nearly identical fashion? I'm somewhat confused now... Could you link me to a reliable source explaining it?

I agree about the eyes, but to be fair, it's pretty hard to get your eyes in focus unless you have a flip-around screen.

There was actually a snowboard add-on that works like the skis. I still have it, but your model is way better.

Could you send it to me anyway? It'll be easier to figure out the sideways-ness of the snowboard that way than trying to reengineer it myself (I wasn't expecting 600+ lines of code just for the skis I mean holy crap).

Also, wait until you see the final model, it looks pretty spiffy. I'll upload a picture tonight.
