I work in fast food and i kinda got a run down on how it works. You see, the little restaurants are put in towns and owned by one guy, who usually hires managers to run the restaurant. McDonalds, Arbys, etc is kind of just a brand name for places. The big guys up top don't give the individual restaurants money. each restaurant has to support themselves. They have to pay for wages, bills, and the cost of food. For future reference, the short way of saying that first paragraph is just saying that most fast food places are franchises.
When something like min. wage is increased, its making it harder to keep the restaurant running, so in turn, you have to raise the prices on the menu, which could very well make people stop going there.
Raising and lowering the min. wage is a terrible idea. sure, raising it tiny bits at a time is ok, but not by $5-7.
This is kind of a simple way of explaining it.
Has anyone heard of Captain D's? It's like Long John Silver'sCaptain D's is 10x better than LJS. I once went to a LJS and the floors were a mess, service poor, and there were roaches on the high chairs.
We only have 4 of the options in the poll here (Burger King, McDonalds, KFC and Subway). That's weird, because - and while this still isn't saying much - Subway's ingredients are a tad higher quality than any of the other three.
Subway has a disgusting smell and makes me physically sick.
Burger King is very tasty and has nice burgers, but their fries aren't the best, IMO.
McDonalds is really tasty, and pretty cheap, but I never feel like I'm full after a meal.
KFC is really nice, and I love their chicken and gravy. But the prices are pretty high.
Overall, I would say I like McDonalds and KFC the most, with KFC probably winning.
sorry guys but i have no understanding of economicsThis is true, but after a few months, the cost of living in Seattle will rise. Once it rises, the people living there won't actually notice much - it'll be about the same for locally bought goods.
its one of my few downsides
could someone elaborate as to why it is bad that minimum wage is $15 in Seattle? It sounds like a good thing because people get paid more.
right?
This being the animation thread, I'll post a couple of free programs for us poor people. They're both in development though.Wow, neat! Even though I have Flash, I might try out Synfig. I've been told by my brother that Pencil2D has poor vector support, though.
Pencil2D: Standard frame-by-frame animation. I just found this and so don't have experience with this. It seems good for both gifs and longer videos if you have the patience.
Synfig: Biggest "selling point" (if you can call a feature of freeware a selling point) is that it removes the tweening process in most other animation programs.
Guy shot a dog in the face with a handgun and you post it??!Lol
Wow get banned ;(((((
Lol
You can't say you respect that he doesn't want an argument when you've just actively started one.Sorry, I typed up that before he posted that he wanted no arguments. I just didn't want to delete it. Don't worry, it has been moved to PMs, no harm done.
You came in here with a point to make. Sharing it here is only ever going to spur others on to argue.
If you have an opinion on it then send Pixel a PM and pick his brains there.
only one other vote for taco bell?Ikr?
shenanigans
Apple Slices here are unedible. They taste like rotten stuff stuck in a plastic wrap for three years. You're not that far off, unfortunately. :(
