riding your bike obviously - the effect is maximized if the rider in question bikes off a cliff so that his remains can decompose and be used by plants for minerals and other useful stuff.

which came second, the chicken or the egg?
Nope! The bus. It's already running anyway, and won't not run just because you don't ride it. However, you'll exhale more CO2 if you ride you bike rather than the bus.

The wavelength of violet light is different than the wavelength of blue light, and due to the substances that make up our atmosphere, the violet light is let through, but some of the blue light is reflected off of the atmosphere back into our eyes.

Name one way that you can take 1 away from 4 and have 5 as your result.

Off Topic / Re: Discuss the animals you hate the most
« on: January 17, 2014, 02:01:24 PM »
the only reason we even care about wild animals is because they are somewhat aesthetically pleasing and are a limited resource. as soon as we need the space we'll keep doing what we've always done and take the land they're too pathetic to fight for and use it for our own. humans are the paragon of life on earth and if the animals weren't so stupid they'd do the polite thing and kill themselves so we wouldnt have to expend the energy

then you have useless 'endangered' animals that are too pathetic to survive even when nobody is actively killing them. i say maybe freeze some of their DNA in case we want to clone them for like zoos or something later and leave them to their own devices. i dont see why a god-like species like ours is stuck babysitting failures.

Wow. Just wow.

The cable itself is at least a couple years old. I have one that's pretty much completely worn through, yet it still somehow works. You can use it until you get another one.

except he put absolutely no effort into his response to me, he didn't even read the op or any post in this topic
stop further derailing this topic
But if you don't want it derailed, why'd you reply to him so many times? I'm genuinely confused.

i really hate useless animals like pandas or tigers. i mean it's bad enough a species as magnificent as ours has to share the same planet with these botched abortions of nature, but it's made worse by the fact they cant even contribute to us and do nothing but leech of of our resources
Well, so much for the food chain and it's checks and balances in the animal kingdom!

Off Topic / The Brain Teaser Thread
« on: January 17, 2014, 01:30:20 PM »
Here is where you post a short brain teaser to make people think and use their noodle. Just answer the above user's teaser, then post your own. It's even better if you come up with the brain teaser yourself; better still of you can explain your answer to the previous teaser. Here's one of mine to start us off.

Which is more environmentally friendly: riding the bus, or riding your bike?

Ignorance =/= stupidity. And there's a difference between sugar-coating and outright rudeness.
And here we observe the muslim and it's natual stupidity.
...is not the opposite of sugar-coating. It's just mean.

Patience. I would offer to do it myself, except that I am busy these next few weeks with robotics. As a result, my ability to make addons is almost completely halted.

Subtractive and Additive are blending modes; with Subtractive, it subtracts the color of whatever the color of the translucent object is from whatever is behind it. Additive does the opposite. Use Additive to make the background seen through the object seem brighter, and use Subtractive to make it darker. However, because of the way the Subtractive blending mode works, you'll want to you the inverted color of the tint you actually want. For example, a turquoise-ish color would give you a pink-ish tint. You'll want to use this on an outward facing plane for the windows. If you like, you can duplicate the windows and flip the normals so that you can see the windows on the inside and outside of the vehicle.

what if i trip, and instead of helping me get up you just pour a bucket over my head and just excuse yourself by saying "oh i just tried to help you!!!"
seriously you have no idea what you are talking about
i mean i wouldn't get mad if it was someone else but you have a history of acting know-it-all but just ending up knowing absolutely nothing
like what the forget does VCE eventing even have to do with .dsq animations and vehicles
That's a pretty bad brown townogy; it's the effort that counts when helping someone. A better response would've simply been, "Thanks, but that's not really what I was looking for."
