Off Topic / Re: what do you use to compose music for soundcloud?
« on: May 20, 2016, 11:25:27 AM »
A friend of mine uses Ableton, but it depends what you're trying to compose to begin with.

He just makes beats and whatnot which is perfect for Ableton but more complicated rhythm's then FL Studio
Wat. You can have the same level of complexity in any true DAW.

OT: I use Ableton Live at the moment, but I also have FL Studio, REAPER, and Nanostudio. FL is probably your best bet to get started.

Most of the profs are amazing (friends with virtually all of the art and design faculty, all my classmates are awesome, the campus is pretty nice, and the focus is on student learning and involvement, so as a whole my college is pretty chill overall. :)

Very calming and reminiscent of vaporwave.
Nice job, man.

As Bluetooth said, the notes seem scattered and not in a specific key or progression. The bass sounds fine to me, though.

Currently fighting a takedown from soundcloud over a trap remix of Horlepiep from Spongebob's production music (classic netherlands folk song).

Since I can't post it there, please hear it here and let me know if i've improved on an authentic trap sound or not.

Alternatively, listen to another version here that doesn't include sound effects or WHAT repeated over and over again.
Definitely better, but mostly just sounds like folk/polka with trap-styled percussion. The rhythm is still not very trap-esque.

Also, made a remix in less than 3 hours. :o

Creativity / Re: Arduino Gamepad!
« on: May 15, 2016, 10:30:04 PM »
The best way to make it a native gamepad is to turn it into an HID, which requires flashing the chip with a new firmware. Unfortunately this firmware/process does not work with the Nano, so you'll have to find a different way to do it or use a dual-chip Arduino.

Good luck finding all those. Old Lego I love the most for how simple it is until Lego got complicated. However you won't find those unless at tag sales.
Pretty much all old original bricks are still made though, not like you have to use the new pieces. :/
