You mean you got hit by a condom?
It would have been awsome if the condom was in 3D :(

i already had my all my nesscarry update's installed from what i know, and i was using ZoneAlarm which is pretty trustworthy.

Also, i read about what this virus was, all you could have done was ask me about it and i would have told you about it :), but yet why are you jack-asses so worried on how i got rid of the virus? You can call me a noob on viruses yea because i am, but i can't be but so much of a noob because i got rid of it. Now i got stuff to do, so i'll be back later to post.

And you CAN install just important updates you know without security essentials which also tell you to not only install updates but to have your own Anti-Virus.
Alright i was wrong I'll admit on that.

I have used XP since 2004 and in my time haven't heard of Security essentials being actually ON Windows XP, not even on my school laptop.

And I'm going to have to correct you on that, it can be done because at my IT shop class we set all of out computers with Security essentials, But I'm not going to argue with you over text on how this worm virus was loaded into my computer during it's start up. Because if I'm not in your face physically, then it's pointless to me.

To general nick (and no im not quoteing with that gay duck),

Yet there is always a smart-ass. and no, when i ment it was loaded into my RAM, i really mean the worm was really taking it's time loading into my RAM.

Also, like i said if you read my story, which by your sharped-toned comment, i don't think you have.  You would have know i had update my computer because i was using Microsoft Security Essentils. If im not mistaken, they do require you to download some pretty important updates (incliudeing the ones that prevent viruses coming in your computer you jack ass) just to install the security suite

Please read this.
But the method i used to break through the worm was the Ctrl+r>shutdown -a method. You really have to do it quick before the worm is fully loaded into RAM. It took me like 50 tires just to disable it for 5 minutes. Then it would come up again.

This made me laugh.
Only reason i said it like that because on this forum, i feel like you have to be vary clear on what you say to everybody or someone will burst like a bubble.

Warning Long Story

The small, but deadly Sasser Worm Virus...

Most deadly to noobs because they can't do stuff about it...

Now earlyer today when i was looking around for a diffrent internet security/anti virus suite for my secondary computer (because Microsoft Security Essentials just let's the viruses right on in...) i stumbled across Comodo Internet Security (witch is pretty good actually) But before i used it i got my favorite anti-virus reviewer guy from youtube mizros (his youtube page is http://www.youtube.com/user/mrizos)

But back to the story- So, i watched his review on Comodo Internet Security and i thought it was pretty good so i went to go download it and switch from Microsoft Security Essentials to Comodo. But while i was doing the exchange my computer was acting weird while i was installing the installer for Comodo from cnet.com. So i thought that probably there was a virus in the computer (witch i was right) But just alittle before i was going to install Comodo, i had did a full scan of my computer with Microsoft Security Essentials (really didn't do it's job) So, after the Comodo installer was done downloading, i went and installed it. Just soon after that my computer got more "sluggish" so I'm like dam, i probably got hit by some small Trojan virus or something (i really didn't know at the time)

So after the reboot, i was going to just clean my computer out with comodo real quick and continue with my day... that didn't happen. When i got to my desktop screen i got the same little window of the "Windows System Shutdown" message. When that happend i was pretty clueless on what to do (because i never got hit by a Sasser Worm, but i did script some in my IT class, pretty simple.) So i made the computer go into safe mode, got some of the files that i wanted to save just in case i had to fully restore my computer. When i did come to the idea of doing a full system restore my computer wouldn't boot off of my Windows Xp Installation CD. So my last idea was to use my pops vary crappy laptop by Toshiba (it has about 480MB of ram, has vista on it (have no idea with such low ram) but yet has a Dual Core 2 processor. So after about 2 houres of snooping on the internet on how to handle this virus and another 3 since i got fed up with this. i finnily got some software onto my computer to fight this dam thing. So long story short he he got rid of the worm and learned a nice lesson...

Don't trust Microsoft.

Tried that, normaly that is what i do and i have no problem, but now it just won't do anything at all when i load a .ter file on any map that's already build for example- Flatlands or Slopes. i just really trying to recover my old map again...
