if she's just on her period and you're normally friendly then keep talking to her, sure.  but if she insults you insult her back then never talk to the girl again.

it's really a social battle to see who's on top.  make her look dumb and don't talk to her again.  she might even get attracted to you.  you'd think hatred would be most closely related to anger or disgust, but it is closest to love.

find some way to just get on top (metaphorically, unless you're into hambeasts).  step up your insults game, call her out on a flaw, etc.  and make sure you have some backing don't try to lone ranger that stuff or something.  ask your other friends what they think.
