Could someone TL;DR me on what's going on?

why don't you read through the thread instead of just reading somebody's one likely biased sentence? people who ask for tl;dr's on debate usually have no clue what the debate is actually about - read the rest of the thread.

edit: just saw insert's post - sorry INH, this post wasn't aimed at you.

Because it's better than just eating up mainstream opinions to fit in

Well like I said I agree with what the OP did, and I also said that I believe all suicidal people should seek urgent care. I said that if someone makes a conscious and lucid decision that they want to die, then they should be able to. "conscious and lucid" obviously implies that the person in question is fully aware of all the implications of Self Delete and alternate pathways.

Your perception of "life sucks" might be different from what other people's perception of "life sucks" is. Recovering from the brink of Self Delete generally requires money, friends (or some kind of social support system) and stuff to do. As in, more than some patronizing cunt telling you the same old shtick about how great happy times are just around the corner like they have been for years. Not that I'm calling you a patronizing cunt, but it's generally what it boils off to.

i get what you mean, sorry for being so aggressive in my first message. i just recently had a good friend of mine try to commit Self Delete and i was a bit on edge. i understand what you were saying, i thought you meant just somebody going: "i want to die" means that they should have the right to die, not considering all options.

Why are (some of) you guys stuffting on Das lol? Does his opinion really offend you that much?

Imo it's more 'selfish' to force somebody to suffer a miserable life that they hate because you want them around. Obviously I believe that all suicidal people should seek urgent help, and that OP did the right thing, but if somebody makes a conscious/lucid decision to end their own life then they should have the right to do so. stuff isn't always as easy as just sitting on your ass waiting for things to get better, the guy lost his wife and kids, it's hard to come back from that.

why do you always have to agree with the guy that nobody's agreeing with? life might suck but people still deserve the right to live - most Self Deletes are spur of the moment decisions, so why not try to save the guy who might permanently regret his decision?

Off Topic / Re: DLC is getting ridiculous - The rant
« on: October 01, 2016, 11:48:01 AM »
I'm more of a businessman myself so Im naturally going to look at it from an economic standpoint. Best case is to find a happy medium where you also keep customers satisfied as well. So far it hasn't gotten to the point of needing to find that medium.

uh, yeah it has. we need a medium. there have been an absolutely ridiculous amount of games that come out first day completely broken, and then demand money to access the rest of them. moreover, companies have relied on making tiny games (about four hours long) with little to no post-game content, only to hide them in DLC. it's not just an anti-player stace, but it's also disgustingly greedy. i know you're in full favor of the company and "making money," but there is a tradeoff between "let's forget people over" and "let's make only a tiny bit of money."

Games in 1999 didn't require a quarter of the technology or work force as games in 2016 do. I'm not saying I like the idea of paying extra for DLC, but it's better than paying $100+ for the base game.

sure, that might be true, but the companies should at least make sure that their game is working as it gets out the door. DLC for story content - something that is expected in a game, and has been for years - is absolutely ridiculous. it's like reading a 400 page book, but then right before the climax, the book cuts off mid-sentence and asks for you to go buy a 50 page expansion, which has the climax and ending. there is absolutely no excuse for making people pay extra for what should be expected in the game in the first place.

ugh mr.enter

while I have to agree with tactical, I think mr enter is not that great of a youtuber. he tends to be overly aggressive and one of those people that just whine about the "haters."

The crazy thing is, he's not just saying that abusing drugs is now a crime punishable by death. He is actively encouraging people to go around MURDERING anyone who they have even a REMOTE suspicion is using drugs. Not even abusing them, just using them. And you get off scott-free every single time even if they've never touched a cigarette in their life because there's not even due process to the damn thing.

His comparison is right, he's the closest thing to Riddler that we've had in ages.

salem did it, why can't he???????????

they're  p e r f
sweet frickin weight, the best triggers, comfortable joysticks, satisfying button clicks, all very much unlike playstation controllersI've never used an xbox one controller, but if microsoft still knows what they are doing I would expect them to be good too
I think the 360 controllers are pretty af though

sadly I think microsoft makes really good hardware but meh software

like their mouses, keyboards (althought membrane) and controllers are excellent, but Windows is a mess
