Add-Ons / Kamakaze Bomb Truck V2 [PH]

This truck loaded with deadly explosives, crashes through the fence of ACM school. We had no idea what the driver's intents were, until...

9:18:


The truck bursts into flames, nobody was harmed in the blast, however, people began to scream and run around in circles.

9:18; about 5 seconds later:


The munitions in the back detonated, destroying the courtyard and half the school. 44 children, 12 teachers, 2 civilians, one photographer, and a man who we believed intended to perform a school shooting moments later, were harmed, fatally or otherwise, in the blast. We have sent their families gift baskets full of coupons for 10% off homerun bats*, to express our sorrow.
*Valid through February 17th, 2010.

To recognise the event, we have created a replica of the very bomb truck used in the bombing. It drives fast, and upon clicking, you will trigger the detonation sequence and automatically leap from the vehicle, leaving it to roll on its course for a few more seconds before destroying whatever target it may be near.

Features:
Bomb truck model, thanks to Pandan.
Custom explosions, debris, and particles.
Custom vehicle final explosion sound.

Warning: May cause lawsuits from pro-minigolf players.

Suggestions & Requests / setScreenColor

I thought it would be neat if blockland had a more extensive way of coloring the screens of clients. Currently we have the red damage flash, a whiteout, and a blackout which I've heard was buggy or not working. There should be a way for the server to use any color it wants for this.

It would include:
%client.setScreenColor(RGBA);
Immediately cancels fading and sets the client's screen to the specified color, with alpha being how faded it is, 255 coloring the entire screen.

%client.fadeToColor(RGBA);
Takes the current screen color and transitions to the specified color.

%client.getScreenColor();
Returns what the color of the screen is currently set to as a string: "R G B A."

Possible applications:

Hallucinoegic weapons could display odd colors, obscuring view slightly and distracting viewers.

Teleportation effects.

When near death, the screen could begin to fade to black, providing an indication of being near death without adding in a distracting healthbar or numerical indicator.

Large explosion could simulate a very bright flash by blinding people looking at them.

I do realize there are possibilities for abuse in this, but most of are already possible with a damage flash or whiteout. Dunno what else to say besides "Discuss."

Games / Flash game: Get Lost (Now with yet another game by the same guy)

Get Lost is a really obscure comedic point-and-click flash game. It has a couple of ways to win, but the real way to win is insane. If you find it on your own, you are awesome. It has dozens of ways to die, most of which you won't see coming. One of my personal favorites is being shot by a cowboy. The art style is intentionally hideous and disturbing. Give it a try.

Which Way Adventure:
This is a really old game, featuring "choose your own adventure" style gameplay. It's not as challenging, but some of the deaths are pretty funny. My favorite deaths are death by Pi and the double game over. Can you find them? Tip: Anything involving the word "Manticore" is lethal.

Curse of the Red Ninja:
A more Get Lost-ish style game. Another set of funny game overs (No manticores though) and an achievement system. If you played Get Lost, you should have an idea as to what to expect. When you find your master, choosing "Slay Him" is a bad idea.

Steamshovel Harry:

Getting away from the silly point and click style of game, he created a neat space platformer game. You play as Steamshovel Harry, a robot with a jetpack. You hop from asteroid to asteroid shooting enemies, taking over enemy bases and all that stuff. It has a really neat plotline involved, and some catchy music. Tip: In area four, do not attack Mirso the instant you spot him. You won't survive the battle. Instead follow him inside the base and attack him in the command room.

Suggestions & Requests / Engine change: NoPlayerCollision

I would like to request a new setting for a player datablock: NoPlayerCollision.
Setting this to true would stop the players of this object from colliding with other player objects. This idea is mostly for challenge servers, where people jump on each others heads to get ahead when they should be completeing it on their own, though it probably has other uses.

Description
Inspired by the Team Fortress 2 Pyro's airblast and the repulsion kick in the Ballistix levels of Crash Bash, this weapon is capable of sending projectiles back at the jerks who might be firing at you, but more likely it will bounce it off into nowhere.

It will only reflect projectiles you are looking at. If you don't hit anything with it, you have to wait one second to use it again. If you do reflect a projectile, you can use it again instantly. It may be difficult to use on bullets, but slow-moving projectiles like rockets should be easy.

Features:
Deflects Projectiles
Neat sound effect
Yellowish-Lime-Green Printer Model(May get confused for horse ray)
Ring effect
Can send them back even faster than they were fired at you.

Quick Update:
Changed the way speed of the reflected shot is calculated.
Close projectiles are now directed back to the sender, instead of in their general direction.
Made the sound a bit quieter.

V2:
Sweet new model by Pandan.
Bugfix in reflection code.
Change the way speed is calculated again.

To-Do list:
Maybe add support for Homing Vector shots.

Non-Combatant Playertype
Can't hurt, can't be hurt.

Description
This is a simple concept for a player, expanded on to be more balanced. It is used for building in the middle of deathmatches. It is built around 6 simple rules.

1. It cannot be hurt by others.
2. It cannot hurt others.
3. It is not affected by weapon impulses.
4. It cannot affect others with weapon impulses.
5. It is fully capable of harming himself if self damage is on.
6. Its bricks can still damage others. Useful for working on builds with traps in them.

All of these should work normally unless you are running another weapon addon which does damage/applies impulses differently, or one that uses one of the first 3 damage types(I believe Self Delete, fall, and default).

Modification Help / Mission Editor Disables Respawning

Key parts underlined:

When I hit f11 to open the mission editor for the first time on a server, I become unable to respawn after dying through the normal method of clicking the left mouse button. I have to use f7 to respawn, which, normally isn't too bad, however, all other people on my server at the time of first activation have the same effect, and they cannot use f7, and therefore, cannot respawn. Those who join after the first time I use f11 are not affected. I have read the console, and no errors are shown. I tried using trace. The clicking of the mouse was recorded, but nothing happened after that, probably meaning that the client is not sending anything to the server.

I have two questions:
1. Does this happen normally?
2. How do I keep this from happening?

Music / Spyro 1-3 Credits loop

[tl;dr]I remember getting a PS3 last christmas, and the first thing I did with it was start up my old Spyro YotD game. Took me two days to 100% it but it was still fun. I recently had an urge to hear the credits music, so I found it, downloaded it, and this morning, I had an urge to make a loop of it.

So I did. It took me a bit to get it to sound right, and I'm not sure if it will to everyone else. When I combined the two tracks(left and right speaker sounds), it had a slightly noticable bass boost effect. Regardless, I'm posting it.[/tl;dr]

Music / Universe at War: Earth Assault - Strangers Attack

I'm not gonna retype this from my last topic, I'll just copy and paste and change a few words.

You may have never heard of this game, or if you have, you may have not have heard this song. This song can be played at anytime in the field, so it is difficult to specifically say where in the game it is from. It's tied to the Heirarchy, the alien, mutant, and giant mech faction.
