Alright I just got home so I can be a little more accurate for you

This is my file path-
C:\Users\srk\Documents\Blockland\config\server
just locate your Blockland folder, go into config, then server. Look for a txt file called "BANLIST.txt" Open that with whatever you want, I use notepad just because it's easiest.
this is what the layout SHOULD look like-

In-game-name   BLID   Banned-user's name   their BLID      the reason they were banned   duration   no forgetin' idea
Thorfin25   2199   ShadowSwat   86212      Chat Spam   -1   -1

you MUST match that as close as you can, otherwise you'll end up banning yourself or you'll mess up the BLIDs.

No, the people trolling the server are stuffty for spamming it. Blaming anyone else other than the people who purposely spammed is completely stupid.
A gunman enters a bank, mask on, guns out, bag over his shoulder. 5 guards armed with semi-automatic rifles and bullet proof vests are standing at varied areas of the area. The gunman shoots 3 civilians, and the guards say nothing, do nothing, just stand there.
This is a stuffty bank. Second, they didn't spam the server, they spammed projectiles. Significant difference.

Face it, your friend is a terrible person. There is no amount of damage control that can justify this.
Damage control? This isn't damage control. This drama is simply useless. Go ahead and ban them for all I care, however consider: you're banning them on the grounds of abusing events that don't belong on the server, in the hopes that they don't do the same on your server. Depending on what you host, that's a completely useless ban. Would you bother to ban someone who aimbots on a building competition server?

Opinion opinion opinion. Shut up. Quit playing the opinion card, because there is no excuse for this behavior. They were spamming the server and most normal people don't enjoy that. Drama exists so people can talk about abusive users who people may want to ban from their servers to keep them from ruining people's experiences. It's perfectly reasonable to ban these people because they're complete stuffbags who enjoy ruining other people's good time.

By that notion I can drama you for being rude. I never claimed the behavior was okay. I said I myself would ban them. The drama is useless here, as what they've done is an isolated incident using events. They can't do that on Zix's? Zealot's? Ravencroft, The Brighter Dark, Kris, Glass, Tezuni, Wrapperup, Dragonoidslayer... must I go on?

I'd love to see Badspot ban anyone for that reason. It violates none of the forums rules, nor is it endangering anything for me to state that it really is NOT that big a deal.

There really isn't a justification for what they've done. They abused the server and prevented everyone from having fun. There is no "oh it's just once" or "oh it's a stuffty server" about it. They did something wrong.

They did something wrong. I think EVERYONE has agreed with that. That isn't an issue. That's the entire damn drama. The question is, where were the admins during this? Why was the situation not handled to the point where this -deserved- a drama?

yes, let this guy get away from this bullstuff. drama is used to inform users to watch for or to ban users that cause problems on servers. now I know to tell this guy to forget off whenever I start my server because I don't know how to ban a I'd that isn't on the server(can someone tell me how to do this?)

I have no idea what you just said, but my interpretation of your question was-

how do I ban people from my server

assuming this is the case, there are three possible ways to do it:
1.) Bring up your menu buttons (press Esc), go to Admin (yellow button), click on a players name in the list that pops up, click the RED button that says (ban), choose how long and your message (if you want it)
2.) Bring up your menu buttons (press Esc), go to Admin (yellow button), go to clear bricks (red button near the bottom), this will bring up ALL the BL_IDs of users who have been on the server since you hosted, as well as the IDs of any user whos bricks are loaded. Click the name of the player, Ban button (red), fill it out, done
3.) this one's a little bit harder. I'm not home right now so I don't really have any good way to explain this, so hopefully someone else can for me. Within your documents should be your BL folder, aka where you store addons, get screenshots, etc etc. If you dig around in there (it should just be in the Blockland folder I think) you can find your ban list, in the form of a txt file. There is a specific format your bans must match in order for it to work, but if the above two methods aren't possible (aka the player never comes to your server), then you can manually enter the BL_IDs there.

There is another possibility, that you meant this as your question instead-

how do I ban people who are on my server, when I am NOT on my server?

Assuming this is what you meant, there is a console command you can use. I'm not familiar with console, but a ton of people here are, so if this is what you meant, someone else can answer this question for you.

Their actions are wrong, punishable, but not drama-worthy. stuff happens, ban them for it and get over it. I personally know Xei, so I would just kick him, while banning the rest (in the scenario where they don't listen to me, which, 90% of the time, people don't question my authority on my own server.) Provided I had to ban them, I might talk with them individually and ask them to be a little more courteous, but I wouldn't go drama them for something so simple.

If they did this on every single RP server for a week straight, and there was mounting evidence that they were doing this maliciously with the intent of disrupting gameplay, then THAT would be worth a drama. This? Child's play. It would take me 5 seconds to make a malicious event relay for a server, and yet all I ever do is relay my feather to change colors.

VCE relays are nothing special. I have 6 different relay systems saved onto my favorite events. None of them are designed for spamming, but seriously...

I think what occured was wrong, but a drama? lol. Literally anyone could do this, and I do this kind of stuff on my own server. I'll be working on a project and take a half hour long break, giving everyone jet-activated spam cannons. And when I get back to work? I delete the bricks or stop the relays. I don't cry and whine about it, I handle it.

To be completely honest, I don't see anything -wrong- with what they did. It was a Life RP, there's been no mention of administration so I'm going to assume there were 0 admins on, they were afk, or they just didn't care.

So long as they weren't lagging the server with the events (for instance, using vehicle explosion with short-burst relays), it's not really that big of an issue. Assuming they created the relays with VCE (Xei, I'm looking at you for an answer to this one), then really it's just a matter of someone else eventing something capable of containing them, for instance relay-teleporting them to a specific room with blast-proof walls.

On that notion, clearly they upset a lot of people. On the other hand, if there were no administrators to handle this kind of occurrence, that really doesn't lead me to believe the server was of good quality anyways.

If the issue at hand was that they were spewing tank shells out while jetting around a map while there's some kid role playing as a cop... I really don't know what to say lol, find a better server or get some actual admins. I'd ban all four of them on the spot, but drama? Not worth the time and effort.

Yes, Kalphiter. Arguably one of the most controversial players of the community. He's obviously intelligent enough to know scripting, possibly modeling from what I've heard. On the other hand, he tends to be a prick and/or lacks common sense.

Rather than sort through all of the dramas based on him, why don't you just go browse the 10 pages worth of "Kalphiter" that come up when you narrow your search down to the drama board and his screen name.

OP obviously doesnt know %1's history and was just looking for some answers and giving simple info on his whereabouts. forget you. his whereabouts? Why does that matter? You don't even have to know his history I wasn't saying anything about how OP is dumb for not knowing, it's the fact that OP didn't provide US with information, like context, the player's BLID, etc.

%1 is probably one of the most notorious troublemakers in Blockland. Kozak. Setro. TTT. Kalphiter. %1 is not nearly as bad as any of them.

The only point at which I agree that I was out of line, was my third bullet. Even so, all valid points. What does he mean "his ID is legit." Why do we have to go to his server to see a troll? Why not give us his BL_ID so we can ban said troll? My 4th point wasn't even emotional at all, nobody hacks BL lol.

Jake needs to make a dunce hat with an RTB toggle option to automatically force it onto Setro if/when he connects.

The add-on would still work. While it would lose major functionality, in the end the point is that through SA/host, one could toggle the dunce hat to automatically fit on certain people.

Make a dunce hat and then an option to automatically force it onto Setro if he joins. (although I actually wouldn't mind forcing people to wear certain hats. would be fun)

Rather than Setro, make it so administrators can add BL_IDs to a list, and when someone with the respective ID connects, the hat automatically attached to them, and they have no ability to change hats, character or otherwise.
