Off Topic / New parts

Yes! I finally got my new Processor and my new Hard-drive, the processor is a " AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz AM2+ Quad-Core Processor ", the Hard-Drive is a "Western Digital Caviar Green 1.5TB SATA Hard Drive". So far I love it, I can actually play Crysis without crashing on start up.

Modification Help / Gamemode Vote

Well, recently I've found my self playing Garry's mod more often, so now I've decided to code some gamemodes from it in to Blockland. The following are some ideas, other suggestions are also appreciated.

Blockland Lounge:
A place where you can talk to friends, play minigames, build, mess around, just do whatever you want to. Also, you will be able to play here while you wait to connect to one of the special servers.

All of the features are in one server, you walk in to the minigame room, wait for the current minigame to end, or you get in queue for a minigame. You can go to the building room in which you a placed in a big field which you can build in. The lounge will include social features such as a pool, pong, soccer, and such.

Blockland Rts:
A Rts made in Blockland, you gather resources make units, and kill each other. I've already coded a base for this. Based off of Saszilation, or whatever the forget it it called.

DarkRP:
For those who have played Garry's Mod DarkRP, I've found it fun when idiots do not ruin the server, I've already coded a base for this as well.  This is a more "Lite" roleplay type mod.

Pulsar Effect Roleplay:
Based on the Garry's Mod gamemode, PERP. Basically a serious City Roleplay, meaning if a player wants to kill someone they can't just run up and kill them without consequences they have to roleplay the situation. Example: Kunit flashes the gun stowed in his pocket, Player2 asks Kunit "What do you want?".

Stranded:
For those who have played my Stranded Mod or the Garry's mod Stranded gamemode, should I continue work on it, or start from scratch if this option wins.

Other:

DarkRP:
I've previously attempted this, I've made growing drugs, Moneyprinters, the job system, and some other stuff, including a chat system, which also has Broadcasting for the mayor.

Jailing is done, still need to work out the bugs. As of right now a cop as to warrant a player before arresting him or her. The baton will knock down the warranted players doors if you hit it. Demotion is made, only accessible by the mayor.

Finished the Door System, still need to make it more user friendly.

Made the Gunlab, along with a custom inventory system for managing items. Also, I've finished the hunger mod along with the chef being able to cook using a stove.



Donation:

VIP: Allows multiple functions depending on the server.

Currency: They will also gain $500,000 for any one of the Roleplay servers, or they will be granted 50,000 of all resource in the Rts server.

The VIP Lounge: This is a place which has many "Special" features which can only be accesed by those who have donated. Some of the features include VIP reserved slots on the server(s) of your choice. Also, the lounge will contain special games which allow the gaining of "Stars", these "Stars" will be exchangeable for any type of currency or resource.


Advertisement:
If a player wants to advertise his or her server on any of the servers they have to pay a small fee. The donations will be used to keep the server maintained. Also, upon donating for the advertisement you will gain VIP access.

All of the servers have multiple billboards in which will host any advertisement approved by the team. These billboards will have an image of your picking, the picture can have up to three sentences of 12 point font.

Example:

Come join Kunits Roleplay server! The server is maintained by Admins most of the time! This is a friendly community, we are very serious about the Roleplay.

The background will have a photo of some players roleplaying.

Modification Help / Stopping a Play3D

Modification Help / Texture Error

Suggestions & Requests / Blockland Coding Database

When I first started to learn Lua coding for Gmod it was easy, only because of the coding wiki that existed. Today, I'm suggesting that we create a Wiki for Torque Script. Yes, I know there are multiple resources on Garage Games, but I suggest this for specific Blockland coding. Now, to the Benefits and the Drawbacks to this idea.

Gmod Database:

Benefits:

• Players won't ask so much about how to code.
• Players will research pieces so they don't have to post in coding help.
• Coding will become generally easier, and you won't have to backup your non-personal code.
• Hopefully the community will better in general intelligence from the common knowledge being expressed.

Drawbacks:

• Players will ask about things totally irrelevant.
• The wiki will take some time to get a basic foundation of code tidbits.
• Idiots might change around the Database if open to free-editing.
• Code will have to be added treacherously if we want it to be worth while.

Tl;Dr Blockland should have a Coding Database for functions, parents, and such.

Off Topic / Yahoo Bullstuff

So I have received two E-mails. One of them is set up with Yahoo, the other with Hotmail. Today I went to log on and check my E-mail with Yahoo. Then to my surprise it says wrong password or Invalid ID, so I send in a query for the option of "My password doesn't work". Later I get an E-mail on my Hotmail, the E-mail said that my account won't be "Reinstated", so I E-mail it back saying "What, why was I not notified of any violation". Later today I received a second E-mail saying "We are sorry, we can not "Release" that information to the public, inless provoked by the state of law". What the forget is this bullstuff?

Note that my E-mails where linked with the password recovery option.

Tl;Dr Yahoo is full of bullstuff.

Off Topic / Computer Failure.

So, I turned on my computer yesterday and guess what happened? The blue screen of death appeared, and so it appeared my "Hard Drive" was fried, I reset the "Hard Drive" and reinstalled all of my drivers and such. My computer is basically brand new, none of my old files. Anyway, I go to download Blockland, enter the key, and go to start a game to see how it is running. Well, for some odd reason about every ten seconds I start moving so fast that I smack in to the wall and die, or whatever part of code I am using runs super fast, almost instantly. Any suggestions of any sort?

Well, Recently I found a strange interest in lifting weights, When I first started I weighed in at 162 and now I weigh 168 because muscle weighs more then fat supposedly. Anyway, if you work out what do you do and for how long?

Well, some of the people from the blockland community are going to record some voice clips of the portal song "Still Alive". At the end I am going to splice all of the voices together along with the actual songs audio and see how it comes along.
