The 690 also supports 4 way SLI.the titan is yes, single gpu, but when you have 2 gpus you have to worry about problems with scaling on certain games and stuff.

I played about 5 or 6 rounds of it, which were my first rounds ever, about an hour ago, and I understand the layout.
