Off Topic / Will this phone work on T-Mobile
« on: August 06, 2015, 06:03:21 PM »
So, my parents are looking at switching from Sprint. They're currently looking at T-Mobile, and I want to know if this phone will work with their 4G LTE bands.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MWI4KKE/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=1944687642&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00E92AV2W&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1VCP0D2XEC3X79SGVCAC

I can't seem to figure it out if it's the Moto X XT1095 or not, which is the one that apparently works with T-Mobile. The whole thing is confusing, because apparently there's a Pure Edition or something that claims it's for t-mobile but it's $100 more?!

I'm trying to convince my dad to spend the extra $100 to get the Moto X over the Moto G, seeing as it will hopefully soon be a very important part of his work and I want him to have something good enough.

Anyway, will this one from Amazon work with T-Mobile?

General Discussion / Playing Blockland on a Tablet
« on: July 08, 2015, 08:20:08 PM »

Got my Surface 3 today, and I was hoping it could handle Blockland, and it does without shaders just fine.

I can now play Blockland on a tablet! :D

Off Topic / It's my BIRTHDAY and THE MIDDLE OF THE YEAR
« on: July 02, 2015, 10:09:38 AM »
IT. IS. MY BIRTHDAY.

16 years old! I feel no different! :D

Something else to note is that today is the exact middle of the year (July 2nd). 182 days before and 182 days after today.

P.S. Is this the record for the most dancing Alfonso Ribeiros in a birthday topic?

Off Topic / Looking for a decent messenger bag around $50 or less
« on: June 29, 2015, 06:15:24 PM »
So I'm probably going to be ordering a Surface 3 on my birthday (Thursday! :D), and I want a bag that I can carry it and some other stuff like a couple books or something in. I want something that's going to durable most of all, but I don't want some bland looking bag with huge ugly side-squeeze buckles or something. I would like it to be relatively stylish. Canvas or leather is fine, but probably canvas because leather isn't going to be good in my price range, if there's even any.

Anyone know of any good messenger style bags at or around $50 or less?

I've been looking at these, but IDK.

Zebella Vintage Pu Leather Briefcase Shoulder Business Laptop Messenger Bag
Zenness Canvas Hiking Traveling Satchel Messenger Bag
TOP-BAGŪ Men/Women's Vintage Canvas Leather Schoolbag Shoulder Crossbody Messenger Bag (this one is kinda expensive, so probably not)
Berchirly Vintage Military Men Canvas Messenger Bag
EcoCity Canvas Travel Crossbody Satchel Messenger Bag
Rapiddominance Classic Military Messenger Bag(Not really the style I want, but the cost and reviews are attractive).

I'd really like to keep it below $50, but if I see something that's a phenomenal deal, I do have more money to spend.

Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions/experience with any of the bags above?

My goal was to create the best house I could in a 64x64 square. I wanted to create something that I could eventually use to create a house in a City RPG next time a good one comes around. Unfortunately, this is already over 7600 bricks and it's not done, so I'm not sure I've exactly accomplished that goal, but it's still cool nonetheless.

The plan is to have one bathroom in the basement, two on the first level, and two on the second level. One bedroom in the basement, one on the first level, and three on the second level. The first level has an office, garage, kitchen, and dining area as well. The basement has also has a theater, a maintenance/heating/cooling/storage room, complete with furnaces and water cooler, and a main room that has a fireplace. The second floor also will have a playroom, located above the garage.

Off Topic / Online sales tax help
« on: June 21, 2015, 12:14:16 AM »
So I'm trying to figure out what the tax would be for a $450 purchase from the Microsoft online store (I'm in Missouri), but you have to like enter all your payment info which I'm not gonna get my parents to do to figure out tax.

Can someone tell me how online tax works? Is it just the state's base tax (like 4.225% or something here)?

Please help me!

So, I was looking through my screenshots (including the many accidental ones), and thought I'd make a collection of my favorite screenshots I've take/things I've built. So here it goes!

I tried to keep most of them to at least mostly complete builds, but I wanted to share this one anyway.

All of the above builds were made by me. Below are builds done by other people.

So there it is. My favorite builds/screenshots of my own. Just thought I'd share. :)

Off Topic / Highest build quality laptop for $500 or less?
« on: June 06, 2015, 05:29:29 PM »
I'm looking to get a portable device (laptop or Windows 8 tablet) soon. As silly as it might sound, build quality is more important in this case than performance. I'd like it to be made of metal. No bigger than 14," although between 11" and 13" is preferred.

I've been looking at the Surface 3, because it has a very nice build. It's beautiful, around the right size, and it's very well built. I could get one for around $480-$500, depending on tax.

My budget is $500.

Oh, and before anyway questions why I want build quality > performance or recommends a desktop, I have a ~$700 PC that has all the power I need for intensive stuff. This is just for classes and going to places like my friend's house where I don't need a powerhouse.

Off Topic / create sentences using predictive keyboards
« on: May 28, 2015, 05:00:00 PM »
For those of you with phone keyboards that are predictive (idk if iOS has this, I know you get it with Android), put the first word that comes up (or just choose a random word) and then  use the predicted words and see what you come up with.

Using the word bacon to start...

Bacon and I am going on the other day and the way you have a lot to the other day and then I am going on the other day and then I am going on the other day and then I am going on the other day and then we have a bit of the way to the new York city and I am so we have any attachments is a bit of a lot.

Also this could go on forever, so don't make them to long

Gallery / Modern Cliffside House
« on: May 25, 2015, 10:42:32 PM »
Been working on a new house the past couple days on DragonoidSlayer's Blockparty. Thought I was far enough along now to share it.

It's sort of inspired by Tony Stark's house, as you can see with the garage/basement leading out through a spiral driveway, and also the fact that it's on a cliff by the water.

What do you think? I'm personally quite proud of the driveway. It's beautiful IMO.

Off Topic / An idea for Google to add to their search engine.
« on: May 24, 2015, 07:01:34 PM »
Google should add a feature to their search engine that excludes certain results. For example, I wanted to search something for the Wii, and everything that came up was about the Wii U, because that contains the phrase "Wii." They're two different things, so it wasn't helpful at all.

Anyone else feel like this would be useful?

Off Topic / made the FP of Imgur again (twice)
« on: May 24, 2015, 12:08:11 AM »
There was a topic not that long ago about someone's experienc with posting to the Imgur gallery and how they kept getting downvoted. You just gotta learn what they like.

In the past 3 weeks, I've made it to the front page 4 times. I have two on the FP at the time of writing this.

My successful posts:
http://m.imgur.com/gallery/KLEqbwy
http://m.imgur.com/gallery/Ilxy0dc
http://m.imgur.com/gallery/BX78Fos
http://m.imgur.com/gallery/27wlcIZ

When posting, do either around 8-9 in the morning or around lunch time. Also don't post something that isn't going to make sense to most people. Imgur likes cats. Use this to your advantage. Things that have been posted before/recently tend to not make the FP, cause they want to see original stuff.

None of my FP posts are things I'd seen before on Imgur.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my success and give a few typos idk
