your interpretations of the grammar inside of debatable sentences are wrong!!

yeah it's not, but it's called lead in a non-literal way because that's just how we choose to continue naming it

it's not the only case of something being called a thing that doesn't actually make sense because it isn't technically that but it's called that anyway in the english language

for example, ringworm actually has to do with fungus

i only corrected him because he was using it in a medical context

i was stabbed with a pencil by a mate something like 4 years ago and i can still see the piece of graphite that broke off in my forearm lol
