The freighter deploys mining and construction robots to expand the capacity of the spaceship so that it can support other operations besides storage. A food-production module is transported and docked to the vessel; eventually the original structure of the freighter will be repurposed as the core of a larger vessel built around it. Materials retrieval, production, processing, fabrication, and assembly will all be done in space to minimize the costs. The ship is redesignated as the Explorer.

The three ENIGMA satellites are upgraded with more sophisticated processing and computing hardware. Meanwhile, a large trend of redevelopment has begun in the major and smaller cities as developers seek to modernize buildings and demand pops up from residents wanting better environmental control within buildings. meanwhile attempts by the swedish government to mitigate fallout have been successful, though background radiation levels have risen slightly, nobody has died from acute radiation sickness, though expectations that genetic defects and cancer cases will rise are there.
on another note, the situation in russia is being monitored but the swedish armed forces will not intervene unless asked to by the russian government or attacked by WLF rebels.
