The Beatles are some of "the greats" because of how they changed music. Look at music from 1960-1970, and how totally different it is. The difference between dopey late-50s love songs and psychedelic concept albums in the late 60s. It's not necessarily that they're great musicians or brilliant music artists, though you could argue that, but the impact they had.

playing percussion was dope in band class because it was the easiest stuff but you got to play with all the fun stuff and no one else was allowed to go to the back

you are wrong if you think authoritarianism is not a right-wing principle. I don't know what else to tell you.

I get what you're saying, but the distinction here is between social and economic policy. It's possible that the guy who wrote the fascist doctrine was also left economically, but that doesn't mean either are inherent to each other. I get how you would confuse the two because the underlying "live for the group" mentality is there, but with only social policy following this, you'd still have "the state, our people, are supreme" without "kill the rich spread the wealth"

I get what you mean, but they're not inherent to each other.
