Its important to note that the temperatures you will get in your case may differ.
The heat inside the case itself will affect the cooling performance. This will be affected by airflow, how well other components are being cooled in the case, and other obvious factors.
If the difference is slim, go with the one that is better value for performance.

I disagree to both.
If you are interested in game development you start off in 2D using any development environment you are comfortable with, be it learning an industry standard language and building from there, or picking up a tool like GameMaker.
Making add-ons or wasting time with anything else won't help you in your quest to making a game at all.
Then you move to 3D.
Game development is far more about design and media creation when you consider the processes needed to build one. Programming is the backbone, but in many cases, is the last thing you have to deal with and usually the least appealing.

If you are referring to YoYoGame's Game Maker software, it does not have an "option" but you can develop 3D games, I think it utilizes DirectX.
Game Maker is made to simplify 2D game development, 3D games require advance knowledge of the software.
There are no real 3D game makers out there, only tools that let you mix and match models and world elements to create different versions of the same games (like 'The 3D Game Maker').

I would suggest gamemaker but I'm actually sure that does require scripting of some sort. And costs money IIRC.

I think if you want to follow a dream job like that, which will no doubt start off with creating films that don't reap any financial reward, you need to have some kind of stable income.
You'd have to dedicate yourself to this path 100%. If you are really passionate about it, you need to be able to take risks and completely commit to it even if it forgets your life over.
If not, don't bother.
