Are you unable to use the compatibility features of Windows 7 or is that beyond you?I don't, but if you don't know already most older games such as CnC Renegade, Black and White 1 and Red Alert 2 aren't compatible with Windows 7 or Vista, therefore this is where this can come into play.
There isn't much for compatibility features, only troubleshooting which is basically the same thing as adding permissions to programs.
