I'm sorry but are you handicapped? We may have advanced since then but our space program is still nothing compared to that of a hypothetical alien race that has the ability to travel to other planets.

How do you know that a such alien race even exists? What if the human race is actually the most advanced civilization so far?

They could be out there, and if possible if aliens move to earth we could most likely make some peace treaty so humans and aliens don't go to war.
