Lol, I just bought CoP on amazon and it downloaded for 12 hours. I opened it up this morning to find out it needs another stalker game to play. 6 hours to go on CS >.>
That doesn't sound like STALKER...

EDIT: Oh ok, I see Amazon has some dumb thing with games. This is why I buy everything on Steam. On Steam, CoP is only 3.74, SoC is still 9.99, but CS is 2.49

Chocolate =/= Candies

So...I have all three of these and I absolutely despise them so far. What am I doing wrong here?
What do you not enjoy? The open-worldness of these games(specifically SoC and CoP) can be a bit be-takening. At the start of CoP i just wandered around the Barge for awhile because it was dark and it was too scary and I didn't know what to do. Also, bloodsuckers at night are SCARIEST loving THING EVER.

Just be sure to play the game vanilla first. So you can really understand what the mods change/add.

Now that said I don't understand why complete gets so much praise. It's  just a mod complation that makes the  game super easy.
I know, I like MISERY because it adds more challenge.  It gets LITERALLY pitch black some nights. You also have to pick your Specialization from your military training. So you if you choose the Sniper Spec. you will be LESS efficient with other weapons.

I loving love all these games. They're all very unique and each worth playing. Make sure you get the Complete mods for each one. They're called "complete", like "Shadow of Chernobyl: Complete".
For CoP I prefer the MISERY mod. I just saw that the guy remade MISERY for CS, but I've yet to beat CS, and I typically don't mod until I've done a vanilla playthrough.

The game looks great and I'm very enthusiastic to play it, but I'm $5 short. I could push it though. Worth $20?
SoC is on sale for 10 bucks, CoP is 3.74 , CS is 2.49...

I really wabt Scribblenauts: Unlimited, but Puddle also looks good, and RGGHGGHH

And then there's Ace of Spades. FML
Scribblenauts is good, Puddle isn't that good and AOS is bad.

Shadow of Chernobyl

In 1986, the world's worst nuclear disaster occurred at the Chernobyl power station. Soviet authorities established a 30km 'Exclusion Zone' around this nuclear wasteland, but in 2006 a second explosion rocked the stricken reactor, obliterating all living things and causing the Zone's boundaries to ripple outwards. From this epicenter came waves of mutated creatures, deadly radiation, and a strange, anomalous energy. The Zone was cordoned off by the military, who would shoot on sight anyone foolish enough to brave the horrors within.

It is now 2012 - man has ventured further and further into the heart of the Zone driven by reports of strange 'artifacts' imbued with anomalous energy. Mercenaries and bounty hunters compete to recover these artifacts, which command extortionate prices on the black market. Others seek to find the truth behind the Zone, while some merely revel in the desolate lawlessness of the place. Whatever their motivation, over time these individuals - Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killer, Explorers and Robbers - have become known as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s.

Awakening in the Zone, you are one such S.T.A.L.K.E.R., fighting for survival in this man-made Hell, while trying to discover the truth behind Chernobyl's sinister past and ominous future.

Clear Sky
The second installment, a prequel

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is set in 2011, one year prior to the events of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game.

A group of stalkers, for the first time, reaches the very heart of the Zone-the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant-and triggers a cataclysm on the brink of a catastrophe. An immense blast of anomalous energy transforms the Zone: the once reliable and relatively safe roads are no longer so, the landscape is wiped clean by outbursts of anomalies, and previously unknown areas appear on the Zone map. Stalkers and expeditions perish or end up isolated within the lost territories.

With the anomalous activity at its maximum, the unstable Zone continues to tremor with outbursts. The transformation of the Zone map destabilizes the fragile balance of forces in the Zone. Hostilities for the new territories, artifact fields and spheres of influence flare up among groups. There are no more old enemies or friends - now, everyone watches out only for themselves. The Factions War has begun.

The protagonist is a mercenary who appeared at the edge of the opposition between stalker factions, Strelok and even the Zone itself. The main character experiences the key role in the events that led to the creation of the Zone right up to the point from which the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game begins.

What new challenges await stalkers within the depths of the new zone? Why do anomalous outbursts continue to rattle the Zone, and what can be done to stop them? Which faction will take the upper hand in the Factions War? These and many other questions will be answered in the official prequel - S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

Call of Pripyat
The last game, as far as we can tell-my favourite of the series(note: not that far into CS)

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat takes PC gamers once again into the vicinity of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor that exploded in 1986. This so-called "Zone" is a highly contaminated area cordoned off by the military and now is combed through by the so-called stalkers, modern fortune hunters, in search of unique artifacts. In the role of Agent Alexander Degtyarev, who is dressed up as stalker, the player has to investigate the mysterious disappearance of five military helicopters and thereby stand one’s ground against the various stalker groups.

I'd say get Plants VS Zombies, STALKER: Clear Sky, FTL:faster than Light and Hotline Miami.
