Yes the ladders need to go.
no - the climbing needs to go instead.

And the ladders will have to be changed to use setVelocity instead of addVelocity, so pressing E and left mouse at the same time no longer shoots you in the sky.

yeah but how would this system work? like how do we pain the brick? the spray can wont work because it has fixed colors. manually entering the colors for each brick is also very tedious

No, the server would allow any color to be used, but your client could still have a colorset of default colors. (like MS Paint, Paint.net, etc. do)

Then there can be a color picker tool for matching custom colors.

The problem I noticed was that a lot of the builds weren't originally designed for there to be climbing, so it makes it too easy to get to the highest point.
The maps weren't designed with climbing in mind at all. That's also why it can easily be removed again. Tower of Heaven will have to go, but it seems everyone hates that map anyways.

Most of the maps already have multiple paths to the top though. And if they don't noone says they can't be improved.

revamp the climbing so it's not just mindless spamming a wall + hovering up.

maybe add the ability to grab ledges and pull yourself up them? maybe add wall-jumping that requires you to jump wall to wall?

or maybe

add rocket jumping

just throwing the cards all over the table
Note: if you want a different mechanic to replace the current climbing, vote for "Remove Climbing". The poll is about this exact climbing mechanic as it is now.

If you're going to remove climbing then you should remove hypertower or whatever it's called altogether because it's just too difficult to get around without it.
Do you mean hyper tower (the map with whirly paths and floating hollow cubes also filled with paths) or tower of heaven (the 5 cylinder towers that are extremely hard to climb without right click spam)?

however they may not all be plausible with climbing.
And that's why you remove the climbing to open the path for loads of cool new features.

Climbing makes everything else obsolete. There's no point doing anything if you can just spam right click and get up.
