Because the gamemode system sucks, you can't just enable your administrative add-ons together with the gamemode, no way, you have to include every single one in the gamemode.txt

So he was probably just too lazy to remove it before releasing

Help / Re: How to move Blockland folder in documents to another HD?

Right click your icon for the blockland launcher
Click Properties
Add -profilePath D:/Blockland
Next time you launch blockland it will create a new blockland folder in D:/ and then use that
Then you move over all the files from the old folder and restart blockland

Might as well block his BLID too if you can, if his IP is dynamic it would end up changing sometime.

That's impossible because the blid is retrieved from the auth server after the connection is successfully created

Is the server on my PC or on an externam machine?

When you host a server, it runs on your computer.
You either have to forward ports or have uPnP enabled, which will let blockland forward ports itself.
It's completely secure unless you're doing it wrong, and unless you have some super crappy internet it should be working just fine
In case your internet is super crappy, buy RTB hosting

RTB has a lot of latency, and it's not unusual to have to wait for days, if not weeks, before your add-on or update is actually released to your users, making it inconvenient for regular releases and almost impossible to use for beta releases and similar.

Because you can be sure that an add-on that is on RTB is going to be secure
Think of a situation, let's say someone creates a huge ui overhaul that almost everyone downloads, and because someone has pissed him off he wants to get "revenge" and uploads an update to delete everyones saves and add-ons

How would you prevent that?

You should be calling the first argument %client or %this or whatever but %admin is a bad choice, the client can also be a nonadmin
You should also check whether the player does actually exist

Also, the gui editor uses .save("filename"); on the gui, I found that blockland has heavy problems to save files if the file name already exists.
It sometimes doesn't write anything at all!
So when you work on a more complex gui you should be saving it to blahgui1.gui, blahgui2.gui etc unless you like your work being lost for no reason

Windows Server, but Linux is the fastest because it doesn't have to run a bunch of processes like explorer, etc.

The thing about the databases and saving makes sense, I wish there was a workaround that. Well this sucks.

There is no way to work around that since the blids are the only information that will always stay the same for one player
If you create it based on name and clan tags, players will lose their data every time that change their name of clan tag and that sucks
