See, you're debating because you don't want to believe you have a mental illness.

Go get help.
No? He's saying that jokes about jews being burned in ovens are funny, so why can't Gritty Grapnel jokes be funny? He's right, after a certain amount of time passes jokes become acceptable about tragedies. But that's pretty illogical. He's supporting his own argument with a rhetorical question, which apparently you completely missed.

What? Did you read my post? I asked you to tell us the results of creating an exact duplicate datablock, not to change the name. Changing the name wouldn't fix the error.

Yeah, you're going to get banned. You're psychotic.
He's the hero Blockland deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... a dark knight.

the latter reason is a sign of mental sickness.
I assume you're referring to sociopathic personality disorder. That's entirely incorrect, I literally disproved you in my post by saying I both think it's funny and sympathize with the families of those lost. Gg, you lost your argument before it even started.

What. NO. Just loving no.
You don't loving make a sick joke outta a massacre if you're a normal person.
Joking about things is actually an awesome way to cope with things. Regardless, who is it hurting that he made a joke? Why are you offended? Were you personally involved? People are too sensitive here, the only people who have a moral right to be offended by a Gritty Grapnel joke are the people who were affected.

It's one thing to joke about it, but to create a visual simulation of it for "lols" is forgeted up more so than just joking about it.
How so?

Calm down. Gritty Grapnel was a travesty but that doesn't mean you can't make jokes about it. I laughed at his Gritty Grapnel joke and at the same time I sympathize with the families of those lost and consider the lives that could have been fulfilled. Jokes are always made about terrible things, that's part of what makes those jokes so funny. AIDS jokes are funny because AIDS is a serious problem.

Yeah, but the counter argument is do all 4 million of those people both need and deserve welfare? Aren't there better ways of keeping people alive than giving them handouts? There will always be the bottom of the bottom that have no skills, no experience, no education, and essentially no valuable traits for working. These people may be disabled or for other reasons unable to work, and these people will of course need aid. But that's not 4 million people. Finding jobs for those 4 million people is a better solution than sending them a check every month. Even supplementing their income is better than giving it for nothing.

General Discussion / Re: Blocklands runs great on Linux!!
« on: January 09, 2013, 03:09:57 AM »
There's not really a way you can code specifically for wine support. I mean, you can avoid things that wine has stuffty support for, but Blockland was not coded with Linux in mind. That said, Torque Game Engine was coded for Linux support, but Badspot decided a compile to Linux wasn't worth it for whatever reason. With the newfound interest in Linux gaming propelled by Steam becoming available for Linux, I think Badspot may consider a Linux port more than ever before. That said, I doubt he'll do it, but our chances are up. In the mean time, I'm glad you've got everything running great under Wine.

I just think its great, people who don't want to buy Windows or can't afford it but are fans of Blockland can just run the games on Linux which is free. Example, someone who only plays Blockland and nothing else on their PC and wants to build a gaming PC for Shaders, they don't need windows anymore which saves them $100.
Shaders still look absolutely horrible, there's no reason to build a gaming computer for them.  Here's two exhibits:

A) Max (click image)

b) Low (click image)

I mean, in my opinion anything less than max is just unplayable anyway. I'd rather play with none.

One hundred votes, one guy voted for Athletics, that's terrible.
To be fair; it's incredibly hard to make a living in the athletics field. You'd probably get about 1% trying to do that in any good population sample.

Try creating a dummy duplicate of AudioClose3D and seeing if it still works.

Code: [Select]
datablock AudioDescription(QuietRange3d : AudioClose3d)
{
    randomVal=0;
};

Then see if the problem appears again when using that.

To clarify; I know you already tried something similar. I just want to ensure this doesn't work.

B: I don't use welfare, my grandmother did in the 60s and 70s to raise a family of 9 after her husband died of cancer, and I likely wouldn't have been born without it.
I get what you're saying, but this can be said about practically anything. Just because if something had been different you wouldn't be alive doesn't make it a good argument. There would be a whole bunch of different people here if there had never been a death penalty enacted anywhere, but that doesn't mean the death penalty is entirely unjustified.

In the internet everything is passable~

Well, the question isn't is what should the minimum age be. You're right, there can't be a minimum age. There can, however, be an average. This is what the question is asking for.

I definitely agree with cutting defense spending, but with that I also understand that you can't just slash government military spending. It has to be lowered in steps, probably staggered over multiple years. It's not something we can just cut right now for some quick cash, we're literally in too deep to do that. But, again, I do agree with initiating this process. I just think that's not the only thing that should be cut.
