This is usually why debates have a mediator. Also, I have to go in like, a half hour, so I'm just warning you so it doesn't seem like I ragequit the thread if I abruptly leave in a half hour.

Eh, I'm just gonna go now. I have the flu and it's really messing with my ability to argue, I can barely type let alone lift my arms so I'm gonna get a good nights rest. Nice debating with you guys, if this thread is still here tomorrow I'll revisit. 'Twas a pleasure.

What the forget? It's obviously linked you to the wrong article, let me look for a better source.
Huh, ironic. It's titled "Phytoplankton control by grazing zooplankton: A study on the spring clear-water phase" so I figured that was what you intended to link.

That study you linked is about the clear-water phase of fresh water lakes.

I've already explained to you that this is wrong.
No you haven't. You linked me to a stuffty article that I can't take anything away from because it doesn't cite anything. Citation isn't only important in school, it's important so I can brown townyze the sources of your article's information and tell you why it's wrong.

Your article mentions that most of the death occurred in arctic regions, where the water is colder. Organisms from outside this arctic region will move in to fill the spot of them in the ecosystem as the water becomes warm enough for them.

It depends on the sample size. In this case, evolution is easily plausible for plankton. There's many different species which can all live at different temperatures, as the ones who can't handle the increase die off the ones that can will breed.

In laboratories, evolution can be observed in test tubes. Pathologists study the evolution of microorganism pathogens that infect humans. Evolution can happen over a short period of time.

Continuing what Rykuta said, it doesn't cite anything. Also, you clearly don't understand how evolution works. Do you think every existing organism spontaneously adapts? Of course the population is going to shrink -- all the ones that can't handle it will die. Then the ones that can handle it will continue breeding, increasing the population again.

Plankton? Now they're the one thing I would expect to survive, that was a bad choice on your behalf, mate.

There's trillions of them. Do you know how fast things evolve when there's trillions of them? I'll give you a hint: very. We're not going to run out of air because the air temperature is rising.

And so you don't deny that the earth is heating too fast for some animals to evolve?
I do not deny this. What I also don't deny is that the earth constantly undergoes temperature changes where some animals go extinct.

Did you even read the article? "90% probability to be cause by humans"
I didn't say it wasn't caused by humans. Look at that dude's CO2 graph and tell me that's not caused by humans. I'm not trolling, seriously.

Oh, I see what you're saying. But fighting Communism was a waste of money, I say. Especially the Vietnam War, as well as Reagan's Cold War.
The Cold War was fought by proxy through other nations. You can say it was a waste of money but in the end communism was mostly subdued and entirely contained so it was a success. Here's a quote: "Communism and capitalism cannot coexist." ~Unlisted Friend of Lenin

CO2 is a greenhouse gas.
This is correct. Do you need me to repeat my earlier point? The earth always fluctuates in temperature.

no stuff, the graph you posted has both, with the co2 level incorrect
It is not incorrect, look at it. It definitely shows a 1 pixel wide line going straight up at the end, it's even colored red.

But it wasn't wasted, because there isn't much communism around.

here's the graph i've always seen (not exact one obv, just the shape)

Those are CO2 levels, not temperature levels.

They are big jumps, which proves that the earths normal fluctuations are loving huge. The "natural" thing for the earth to do is fluctuate in temperature.

We could die from using them, for example they are loving up the environment. I mean, going the way things are, the whole ecosystem could forget itself over between we even run out of fossil fuels. Which we will, but not in our lifetime, of course.
Yeah, they are loving up the environment, but not nearly as much as the green party would want you to believe.

Fossil fuels are a terrible solution period and instead of just "Nothing is as good let's just stay in our little technology bubble until we die" people should actually try to advance our power alternatives.
What? Fossil fuels are a pretty amazing solution. They produce a lot of energy from little volume, fuels like gasoline burn relatively clean compared to other fuels like coal, natural gas burns completely cleanly producing 0 pollution, and they're abundant in volume. Granted we can't rely on them forever, but we're not going to die from using them like your post seems to imply.

Money that we had at the time. What did we do with it? "Fight Communism"? Bullstuff
Well.. I don't see much communism around.. just a few places..
