Help / Torque Is Force Quitting Itself.
« on: July 15, 2008, 02:28:41 PM »
For some reason, every time I load up blockland today the game has been quitting (At random intervals).

Sometimes it quits at the start screen, some times when I exit a game. I think it has something to do with
the server list. Anyways here is the last part of the console log I narrowed it down to before it quits.

So I started a build on Nitramj's server only to delete it and take it to single player.

By the time I finished I thought it over and decided to submit it as an app.

So what is it? It's a parking lot....for boats.

I'd prefer you judge by loading the build on HPRC's The Islands 2 and browsing through it that way.

Pictures only say so much with builds. The file is at this link http://www.mediafire.com/?z043mnfhyfn just
extract to your Blockland directory and it should install itself.

Thanks for your time.

Suggestions & Requests / Submit Your DM/CTF Build
« on: May 18, 2008, 01:51:37 AM »
Hello, I'd like to feature 3-6 DM/CTF builds in a mod I am working on.

Please no one person submit multiple builds and multiple versions of the same build.

THE BUILD MUST BE SAVED ON SLATE other maps may cause problems for the time being.

The build doesn't have to be super fancy, but functional and relatively fun.

I will decide which 3-6 builds will be featured and you will know if your build was featured in the end product.

To submit just upload the save to mediafire or if it is small enough attach it to your post.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Modification Help / C# Discussion
« on: May 17, 2008, 01:38:14 AM »
Hello, if anyone is currently learning C# or has already learnt most of the fundamentals I'd gladly like to discuss it with you.

I have just started studying C#, and yes this is my first programming language. It's always fun to have a study buddy or someone to help guide you through those tough parts.

Just p.m me your email address, I use MSN but if you use another type of messenger I'll try to accommodate the best I can.

I refuse to use SharpDeveloper because of how complicated it is for a beginner such as myself.

If you use Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition that would make things run smoother but I'm sure any IDE designed for C# would work both ways when compiling.

Lastly, if by through the forums you have a bad reputation, you wasted your time reading this, I'm not about to add someone that all I know is is that you piss people off.

Anyways thanks, hope to see people interested in C#.

I'm sure many of you remember my neighborhood build I used to host. A few number have added their houses to the work. Thanks to; Ephialtes, Barnabas, Ladios, Dante. Others did start on their houses such as Ministry, Sniff, and Qwerty but I did not host the build long enough for them to finish.

Anyways, Road work design etc etc. Anything but houses I worked on. Thanks to Dante for editing my chairs :p.

Hope you like what was built.

P.S It is unfinished.

To download the text file do the following steps.

1. Let the page finish loading.
2. Open Notepad
3. Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C
4. Paste it into NotePad
5. Save it as LH Neighborhood.bls in the blockland bedroom save directory.

If you can't manage that I can't help you.

Drama / black ninja
« on: February 09, 2008, 05:39:56 AM »
So I decided to build in a server full of noobs when an old friend joins the server.

He says he hasn't seen me in forever and I said "because you haven't seen me on the right server".

Suddenly I'm perma-banned saying I insulted her server.

I use a friends key and join back to see why I was banned, and referring to myself in 3rd person they came up with

"He was saying crap about my add-ons and how I can't build" etc etc. (

Althought I hadn't said a word up until that sentence)

I laughed, wanded my build and said "seriously, grow up." and got perma banned again.

So, this is to you black ninja, Id: 1875.

For the record, your server does suck, and I recommend you use some vagisil.

S-Tardmins need to gtfo blockland.

Suggestions & Requests / Force Side Scroll View
« on: January 31, 2008, 07:57:48 PM »
Is it possible to have a server force all clients to have a locked 3rd person side scrolling view?

Perhaps make it in a certain direction in which the view will be forced, also making the character move in that specific direction. The camera will follow the player only but ignore the mouse movements.

"D" would be right (or forwards) and "A" would be left (or backwards).

If this is possible could someone make this a mod as it would make great for a challenge or whatever.

Help / Installation Help
« on: January 18, 2008, 10:08:02 PM »
So I'm on a lap top running vista trying to install the blockland game. I've disabled UAC and also used the full permission edits that Ladios suggested thinking that that will give me a clean run of the mill game.

Unfortunately this is not the case, I load the game and a few seconds after it tells me there is a problem and that the program must shut down.

I took notice to the consol when it loads, and it states a bunch of loading failures. So I went in to the blockland folder and looked for each missing file and sure enough 80% of the game didn't install!

I re-installed blockland numerous times hoping it will install all the necessary files but no luck. It installs unusually quickly which means it probably skips the necessary files installing only half of the game.

If someone could help me out that would be nice, I can take directions very well for I am not computer illiterate, but on this I'm stumped.

Last request is don't give me the ol' "Get Windows XP" for I don't have that as an option.

Alright thanks.

Gallery / MotE App.
« on: November 07, 2007, 12:45:58 AM »
Hello again, well it's taken me some time to get as far as I did with this app.

I was informed by Qwerty that the past week MotE expelled 3(?) members and I'm hoping
to replace one of them.

I build off and on with Qwerty and he recognizes me as a skillful builder that should join MotE,
which brings up my goal.

This is a real estate build that I solo'd, there are parts of the interior such as the upstairs that I did
finish due to the size of the build. Alot of rooms and hard for one person to get to them all.

I plan on finishing the upstairs, adding built cars to the garage, and a pool in the backyard, and a nice lawn in the front.

I hope what I've taken the time to do is acceptable.
