Okay so what is the procedure for brewing potions? Is it justFor the moment, you put Netherwart in first, then either sugar, blaze powder, magma cream, or a ghast tear, and then you put in either glowstone dust or redstone dust. glowstone makes the potion more powerful, redstone makes the potion last longer. Sugar gives you a speed bonus, blaze powder gives you a damage bonus, magma cream makes you fireproof, ghast tears give you instant health like food did before 1.8.
- Craft bottle
- Fill and craft cauldron (to fill, right click with water bucket)
- craft the little potion stand thingy
- Fill the bottle with water
- Put bottle in potion stand thingy with proper ingredients
That's where I am stuck. Is there a link to the lists of ingredients and their subsequent effects to the player?

you should have killed them all by hand to collect the resources.I'll admit that was my first intention. Until the game turned into a broken slideshow.
