According to http://www.gamingmasters.co.uk/portal/ it is still only at a %0.9/hour.
Two inches is a bit big, even for a laptop I won't be moving a huge amount. Are you still looking at the Battalion X7200? If you are, it is extremely thick, and the power block is a whole other story.
The only thing I'm wary about is that I've seen mixed reviews of iBUYPOWER - both good and bad ones.
I never said I need to have it 'portable' in the sense you're implying - by portable I just meant transporting it between houses, and to friends' houses when I go to them. Then does it really matter if it's two inches thick?
Oh, ew, Bootcamp? That software is total stuff. It's laggy - not to mention you can't share files with your Mac like you could do in Parallels or anything similar.Stop making stuff up. I doubt you've used BootCamp for 5 minutes - it's not laggy at all, and I know that because I've had BootCamp for awhile now.
Okay guys, I might also consider this because the site has better reviews than ibuypower (from what I've seen anyway):Link won't load for me.

The only thing is there's nothing on the page that says how long it'll run on battery.
a $600 computer can rock portal better then an xbox can.Yeah but if you want to play a game that just came out you need a better computer. It seems like you are saying that consoles get outdated so fast but computers are immune to it.
you dont need a super computer to play a mod of a game that came out in like... 2004 or whatever it was.
granted ps3 is still has a ridiculously powerful CPUBelieve it or not there are people who want to enjoy games without spending 1000s of dollars on a computer each year.
graphics-wise, none of the consoles come anywhere close to what an average pc can do lol.
and next gen day of release, they will already be behind.
they just arent made to be any good lol, a poor mans computer.
