There's pretty much no hope of a decent time for me. The Ball only took off an hour, and best case scenario is that the 4 remaining games each take off an hour, and only brings it down to 3 hours. And the 4 other games might not even be completed soon enough.

« on: April 18, 2011, 12:38:01 AM »Two inches is a bit big, even for a laptop I won't be moving a huge amount.Are you still looking at the Battalion X7200? If you are, it is extremely thick, and the power block is a whole other story.
The only thing I'm wary about is that I've seen mixed reviews of iBUYPOWER - both good and bad ones.

It's laggy - not to mention you can't share files with your Mac like you could do in Parallels or anything similar.Stop making stuff up. I doubt you've used BootCamp for 5 minutes - it's not laggy at all, and I know that because I've had BootCamp for awhile now.

The only thing is there's nothing on the page that says how long it'll run on battery.
Something to remember is you're going to probably have to chose between a high powered gaming laptop or a laptop that can be more portable. You're probably not going to find both in the same package.

you dont need a super computer to play a mod of a game that came out in like... 2004 or whatever it was.
PC gaming is still something for the elite. At least in my school, almost everyone plays video games on consoles, of course part of it is probably that they don't even know that a computer can play games.
I'm pretty surprised at how low Portal 2's system requirements are, especially with all the new fancy lighting and stuff.

graphics-wise, none of the consoles come anywhere close to what an average pc can do lol.
and next gen day of release, they will already be behind.
they just arent made to be any good lol, a poor mans computer.
