The "human stuff" here are the people who don't follow the law and thinks they can do whatever the forget they want just because you don't agree with the laws. You're just a criminal scum. Calling it "Civil Disobedience" doesn't work. Civil disobedience goes along with protesting and activism, but you sissies are probably too afraid to tell any authority you do drugs.

Get a life. I am sorry that you suck so much at life that you have to resort to getting high to fell good. Find some real friends. Find a real way to have fun. Sure, I may spend lots of time playing computer games and arguing with people on the internet, but at least I'm not so pathetic that I need to resort to getting high.

I'm done trying to argue with you polarized arrogant scurvs.

You don't seem to understand that probably for ever study that shows that marijuana is not bad for you there is another study that says its bad. We just don't know enough about it to make it legal.

To quote Wikipedia:
Quote
Generally, no scientific consensus exists regarding many of cannabis's long-term effects, despite a large number of studies.

What effects? Also did you even hear the reason it's illegal? Because it made blacks look at white woman. I mean WHAT THE forget!
30 Studies show that it can cause mental disorders like Schizophrenia.

It doesn't matter why it is illegal. If you disagree that it's illegal, protest the law, don't break it. And it being illegal should be enough to stop any person who cares about their future.

It doesn't matter why it's illegal, what matters is that your are breaking the law and possibly ruining your career. If you disagree with the law, join an activist group and protest the law.

Of course just immediately stopping is going to have negative side-affects. It relieves stress and does other stuff like that, and your body then realizes that it's an easy way to feel good. If you just stop immediately, you stop feeling good altogether.
Exactly. People just underestimate how powerful physiological effects can be.

Also it's not addicting, if it's around yeah I'll smoke it but whenever I don't have weed, then I don't have weed. Cigarettes are different, I'll admit I'm addicted to cigarettes, but that's because nicotine is physically addictive.
Prove to me that it's not addictive and tell me how you feel if you stop for a few days.

You can say this about everything.
Yeah you can be addicted anything, but other things don't have the possibility of doing brain damage, getting you arrested or keep you from getting a job.

Videotape yourself stoned and see for yourself.
While your at it try to quit for 3-5 days and tell me how you feel. I mean if it's not so addicting it shouldn't be a problem, right?

Making marijuana legal for recreational use would be like opening a pandora's jar. Yeah, there's the best case scenario where everybody uses it responsibly, and there is the worst case scenario were everybody abuses it and society falls apart. We would all probably agree that realistically it would be somewhere in between. And it's not even worth a small amount of risk, and once we make it legal it would probably be hard to make it illegal again. Yeah sure this might be considered a "free country", but any person who truly cares about this country would want to keep everyone in it as healthy as possible so we can compete with other countries. The only good thing that comes out of is some pleasure and possibly some tax money. But there are ways that we can make more taxes by actually making the country healthier, like more junk food taxes.

Yes, we can. It's called "biochemistry" and it's a science well over a hundred years old.
Yeah I guess your right, but biochemistry doesn't cover the element of how society would use drugs.

You mean aside from all of the research been put into studying marijuana from the past 70 years?
There's research that shows marijuana has both good and bad effects. Problem with most of the research is that we can't use a truly random sample. For example, with my schizophrenia study, how do we know that the people who just happened to smoke weed were already at risk for schizophrenia. Or with a study that said weed smokers don't do well in school, how do we know that it's not the other way around.

Everything in this paragraph is uneducated and stupid. Nothing here is of any factual value. You did no research on the subject and ignored everything previously said in this thread. I cannot even begin to type an argument. Everyone is dumber for reading this and you should feel bad.
First of all, barley anything in this topic is researched or of factual value. Second, my paragraph makes sense with logic. If people abuse one legal and socially accepted drug, what makes you think they aren't going to abuse a different drug. McDonalds isn't the only food that obese people abuse.

Now on to my other argument why legalizing recreational marijuana is morally incorrect and bad for society: Let's once again assume that marijuana doesn't cause any major permanent harm, so if it was legal we would basically have instant pleasure with not side effects or guilt. That would be horrible for society. Instead of people figuring out productive ways to use their time, we have people who just deicide to get high. Once they are high, the chances of them getting anything done is pretty much 0 for awhile. We don't want society to look like this, do we?

Is any of the possible risk really worth the chance for some stupid people to feel good? It's not something we need like food, or even caffeine in todays fast-paced society.
