With 24 days it would still be impossible to reach the limit because I highly doubt your download speed stays constantly at 16 Mpbs. Plus, if your doing downloads 24/7 you deserve to pay extra.

I might have the conversion wrong.

The fastest U-Verse plan is 24 Mbps down. Plug that into a convert and it's 0.000116415321826935 GB/s.
250 / 0.000116415321826935 = 2,147,483.65 seconds
2,147,483.65 / 60 / 60 = 596.523236 hours.
596.523236 / 24
24.85 days.

Yeah that's so outrageous I might have done something wrong.

The biggest model packs I see on garrysmod.org are 40-50mb. And I only see one or two of those per page. But lets say all the add-ons you download are 50mb for some reason.

204800 / 50 = 4,096

That's 4,096 per month, which is about 136 per day in a 30 day month.
I doubt you download that many large model packs per day.

Math is a powerful thing...

About a year ago, in some areas, my ISP experimented with a 5GB cap. I'm not sure if their still doing it or not.

Yeah the only reason this would really be worthwhile is if you want the reliability. YOu can probably host a server that appears to be just as fast with a high player limit from your own.

Any online server can shoot up very quickly. With multiple players making detailed and large builds, the brick limit can be met easily.

Build more efficiently. You can have detail without spamming the floor with prints and making striped walls with 1x1s.

TomTheGeek has much lower pings top people in the US, being about 190. Kalphiters pings are like 200-300.
