No offense, but your server (or the server you are on) seems to be a magnet for the idiots. I only see someone who boxes people everyone once in awhile. I get one or two name shouters / admin beggars, but I just ignore them, and then kick them if they get annoying.

Instead of "Do not randomly place vehicle spawns", something like "only place vehicle spawns if you have a build with it".
Event lag traps (not death traps) - Probably done by someone who knows better, but like to ruin Blockland. There nothing wrong with perm banning them.
Rainbow/Emitters - Kids / New plays who just found out about them and think there cool.
IRC Spam - If someone random sends you an irc message, just ignore them.
If they are actually spamming you, use the ignore command.

It's everyones OWN fault for the community becoming like this. When YOU ban people for long times and stupid reasons, it really DOES NOT HELP THEM LEARN. Sure, sometimes people only learn if your harsh, BUT AT LEAST BAN PEOPLE FOR A GOOD REASON SO THEY KNOW THAT THEY DID WORNG. Oh, and if your gonna ban someone for spam, maybe you should explain what it is, I'm sure there are lots of kids out there who would like to stop getting banned for "spamming", but have no idea what it is.
This probably would be as bad if THE OLDER MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TOUGHT THE NEWBS WHAT THEY NEED TO DO TO SURVIE IN AN ONLINE COMMUNITY. Sure, people will be hard to teach, but it is really hard to say "Please don't enter your message more then once. Next time its a ban".
This game would be so much better if it wasn't filled with 15 year old kids with inflated egos who think they are so cool because the beat up on newbs.
Nice job TomTheGeek, actually taking steps to improve things, instead of just complaining. TO bad no one that really needs those tips are probably gonna see them.

Blockland downloads all "resources" so you can see the files. With default settings, Blockland only downloads vehicles model files, and some other models. Models you do not have will be replaced by defaults.
They will not be in your server because it will only download the models, not the scripts.
I'm assuming by "winwar" you mean zip. It will not be a "winwar" file, it will be a fold with just the shapes it downloaded.
If you want to download more files, so you can see custom guns and stuff like that, go to options, and click the "Network" button at the top. Then you can uncheck what resources are downloaded.

« on: December 22, 2009, 09:38:52 PM »Using a resistor is kind of odd some times. I never do the math on the spot, but do some reasoning in my head. They aren't that expensive either, and I usually get it right. I used too small a resistor first try, big whoop. Hell it might not have even been that. I may have used the correct resistor, but accidentally put an LED in backwards.Yep, defiantly experimenting. Lots of trial and error. I hope you somehow manage to break putting in your new processor. Sure its simple, but if you can mess up the polarity of LEDs, you could probably somehow fail to install a processor.
I know I'm being harsh, but why do you need to experiment expensive computers, when you can have just as much fun trying to extend the abilities of lesser hardware. Some people are lucky to have a computer to barley run Blockland, and your getting top notch hardware just to see how much you can overclock it.

I already used one wrong resister too, waste of 5 LED's.I think someone who knows what there doing would know to double check a resistor chat when hooking up LEDs.
