I have been using windows 7 ultimate for 3 months now and have used even the newest version of Mac OSX, and I an easily say that the user interface in windows 7 is the best and smoothest I have ever used.

Is it easy to navigate, does it have a built in, customizable sidebar on all the windows?

No, you don't. In terms of computers memory = RAM. You DO NOT have 1 terabyte of ram.

In most cases yes, but I think it can be interchanged.

I really don't see the point of anything over 500 GB, unless download a lot of full length TV shows/movies.

I have no experience with 7 or Vista, but I think OSX has a better user experience then XP.

I hear that coming from my furnace room too. I'm used to it now but it scared me the first time I heard it.

I guess its the first time I've heard it because I've never been in the basement when it was turning on.
Hudgems explained it a few post back.
