Just because the others don't get updated often enough.
You know the drill, although please post only one action. Don't give me a whole paragraph on what you want to happen next.

Ex;
good "Kick the cat"
bad   "Kick the cat and go to the house an rob the person"

Working Model 2D
[/b]

This is yet anther physics simulator. Thing is, this one is used for construction and other purposes to simulate what would happen in a real life case, so it is very accurate and you can do pretty much anything, even control the hinges you make, etc.
The following is a description from the website:
Quote
The world's most popular CAE tool, Working Model is a conceptual design tool that allows you to create simulations that replace vague, time consuming, inaccurate “back of the envelope” calculations. Working Model has been adopted by thousands of professional engineers to create and brown townyze real-life mechanical systems
Now, I realize this in a sense is no game, but it certainly is a much more enjoyable experience than playing 'phun'.
A demo is available here, although you need to fill out a quick form. The only limitation in the demo is the inability to save as far as I know.

Below are a few quick videos about Working Model;

Off Topic / Maple Story Install
« on: June 29, 2008, 01:13:50 PM »
Decided to try and play Maple Story because I'm bored, but a problem occurred.
Maple Story requires 1.9 gigs of temporary space on drive C to start the installation, and then an additional 2 gigs to continue it. Problem is, I only have 3 gigs of free space on C and do not intend to delete anything else as it is all necessary.
I was wondering if there is a way around this or to have Maple Story use temporary space on other drives.
Help is greatly appreciated.

Stumbled upon these guys when looking for backflip tutorials  :cookieMonster:
Most of their vids are funny, definitely worth a view.
*Contains swear words but ever since the swear filter is gone I don't think anyone cares.

General Discussion / Events for the next version.
« on: June 17, 2008, 11:47:12 PM »
After reading Blok magazine 2 or what not, a question came to my mind.
The snippets of the V9 event systems that were provided were pretty much commands, so when making a certain thing in V9, do you actually have to type out the code in a certain manner or do you select from drop down boxes?
If neither, what exactly do you do?

Games / Thor Towers
« on: June 11, 2008, 10:09:35 PM »
This time, a game at least takes some skill.
http://www.vivalagames.com/play/thortowers/

Press spacebar to let go of the blocks, how high can you get? (Forget the score itself, I want to see who can make the biggest tower)

I got up to 69 blocks.  :cookieMonster:
(Legit loss, no intention of losing at that number)

Games / Trials 2 - Second edition
« on: June 05, 2008, 10:54:21 AM »

Based off of the 'Trials' series

you are in control of the man on the bike and your goal is to reach the other side of the track, but you will have to pass through various obstacles. It's harder than it sounds.

Anyone played/have this game?
I love it except that I get stuck at certain parts quite often.
You can download a demo off of Steam, or buy the full version.

Every since I updated my Nvidia drivers, everything that uses OpenGL/AL is showing an odd texture problem.

I have yet to find out how to get the bunny in there.
Here is a car that I've managed to get working, having issues with balance though, I should have also cloned the wheels.

Is it really that hard to get a discussion of a game going on without spewing out 'discuse'?

Mapping Help / Collision problems with Torque
« on: February 03, 2008, 04:59:14 PM »
I've made a map and it's all done except the texturing.
Problem is, whenever I export it as a legacy DIF and place it using the mission editor, I get odd glitches and collision problems. This has happened several times, and I don't know what's causing it/how to fix it.
It's all find in Constructor though, this only appears after I place it.

Here are a few screenshots to illustrate the problem better.
Whenever I try to take a step near it, I simply fall through.

An interactive comic, yay!
First, choose your class!
Class with the most votes by the end of the day will be the one who the story will revolve around.
(Well, not much of a story here, it's TF2.)
Don't go crazy about the posing, TF2 models are a bitch to pose.

THE HEAVY WEAPONS GUY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh no! What will you do?

* results will be shown in comic form, step by step.
That's a medic way in the back in case it's hard to see. Also, the player model is hidden somewhere in this picture.

Hide behind the door, trip the scout, drag him into a corner, and put on his uniform as a disguise.

They've fallen for you trap, what shall you do now?
