They should make you be able to edit your creature whenever you want, instead of having to start out a new game everytime. They should also make it so you can walk around and actually do stuff when you're in the space stage.

Yes, right click on it and make sure "Lock the taskbar" is not ticked, and then with one swift motion, click on it and drag it back to the bottom.

Hit Esc or the bottom left button and click save. It won't let you save until you complete a couple of missions if you just entered the space stage.
