SHUT DOWN ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear ladies and gentlemen, I am shutting down the battlefront server and putting it on halt until I create a new map.
If any of you would like to know, I am now working with the clan in which I am in called SPO. We are making a new serious 1910 RP server. I will host the server for 12 more hours before shutting it down at 5pm (London time)
I doubt the battlefront server will be open for another 2-3 months.
I hope everyone's enjoyed my server, its been a pleasure hosting it.

I added TWO new capture points,
'The Cantina' and 'The Skiff'
The Cantina is located near the empire's base, in Mos Eisley.
The Skiff is located in the centre of the map, floating above the ground, you'll have to build some steps to get to it :D

« on: February 23, 2013, 07:36:21 AM »I played this for 5 hours today and watched the player count decrease drastically to about 6 players, and I still had a blast. I can't believe everybody got bored with it so fast. Anyways, nice job on the maps.The reason it decreased to 6 players was because people have to turn off their computers, not because they got bored.
I can tell you've put effort into it; I just feel a trench TDM isn't doing all that hard work justice.
Every trench server I have visited has just been a mess. Bricks and holes everywhere. Crude box buildings. Large spikes and towers. Maybe that's fine for a 2 minute, auto-generated map. I argue that it doesn't fit with careful renditions of Star Wars locations and scenes (or any detailed build for that matter).
You could set it up as a regular TDM/capture point gamemode. Perhaps throw in some tie-fighter, x-wing dogfights. If you want to be really ambitious, try recreating the life in Mos Eisley; make it so it's like actually visiting a living world.
I do reset the map every 12 hours, and there is some terrain that I have made which breaks up the map more

I have a brick-made vehicle collection of over 50 vehicles, about a third of them being from the star wars films.
When I first thought of the concept behind this project, I wanted to re-create the battle scene of Hoth and the atmosphere inside the battle.
This drove me to making my vehicle collection expand in the star wars area. I really do enjoy making these maps and like to involve highly skilled builders which also enjoy building these TDMs. They're TTDM's because I dont want them to go to waste on nothing. I like hosting these TTDM's and they usually attract about 40 players for the first 3 days, then slowly decreasing until the end of the week.
I dont really know any other ways in which to showcase my love of starwars and the vehicles I have created, suggestions would be cool.
I want to start working on a new planet from starwars when I get bored of Tatooine.
