There was peace everyone else than France, and by intervening he drew many other countries into a war. In the long run, the world would have been more stable if he stayed out of it.

pretty sure that NATO was not in peace knowing that france was being illegally held by germany

but he is a world super power, and he should be using his power to enforce justice in the world
he is doing this because of the vote and he should, be its the UN. its the voice of every country, and the countries have voted for france to be free, and in order for that to happen he needs to intervene due to germany not abiding the UN.
before he did this, there was not relative peace. there are riots inside of france, the french people desperately wanted to be free, and germany was cracking down on their protests. not very peaceful, imo.

the UN needs to encourage the use of force to withhold its votes or else the UN suddenly becomes incredibly useless
